Multiple Locations and Rapid Growth Create Need for Integrated Recruitment System Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group, one of the world's largest and most dynamic hotel management companies, has a portfolio of more than 1,300 hotels in operation and under development. It owns a powerful set of global brands: Radisson Blu, Radisson, Park Plaza, Park Inn by Radisson, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson and Hotel Missoni.
In the Asia Pacific region alone, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group has more than 88 hotels in operation and another 75 hotels under development in ten countries. Centralised System Improves Quality Control and Time Efficiency With OpenHire, all recruiting was brought “under one roof”: Candidate applications throughout Asia Pacific are centrally managed within OpenHire. A system-wide database makes information about all candidates readily available to recruiters and hiring managers.
Asia Pacific HR department has gained a sharper picture of recruitment status in the whole region by using OpenHire as a common tool. Regional HR teams in Shanghai, New Delhi and Singapore can now oversee recruitment for all the hotels in their respective areas.
Still, this centralised system allows hiring managers in each hotel to independently post vacancies on various job boards and track candidate generation from their respective locations.
OpenHire’s efficient applicant tracking process has reduced the time-to-hire to three weeks for some positions because recruiters now get real time reports on active candidates’ status with the click of a mouse, rather than manually sorting through resumes and emails.

Creating Simplicity through the Web The visibility of the company’s job vacancies on the Web was a key piece of Carlson Rezidor’s recruitment as job seekers are becoming increasingly connected. With OpenHire, they now have a centralized career portal where all Asia Pacific job applications are directed at, making it faster for candidates to apply and easier for HR managers to track candidate generation at any given moment.
Hiring managers and the HR team are able to post recruitment advertisements on third party job boards and sources such as LinkedIn, which refer back to the company’s website. This has enabled the company to reach out to a wider pool of talents than using the website as a standalone recruitment tool while still centrally tracking the candidate generation.
OpenHire’s features have helped boost HR productivity for Carlson Rezidor in Asia Pacific, and the HR team has already expanded the use of the system to reach out to a wider pool of talents in China with the launch of a Chinese language career site in 2012.
