challengeDesign and build a multipurpose aquatic center as a part of a new, ground-up YMCA facility that would be easily and cost effectively operated and maintained, as well as address the following needs:

• Accommodate the varied aquatic needs of it’s multi-generational clientele.

• Provide space for fitness and learn to swim programs.

• Incorporate area for entertainment and and play with family appeal.

solutionADG designed and built a cohesive aquatics center that addressed all the varied needs of the YMCA’s diverse clientele. The lap swimming pool and large spa area with hydrotherapy pool allows for multi-functional programming options, while a zero-depth activity pool with water basketball, spray features, a toddler slide and lazy river current channel provides entertainment value and revenue generating opportunities through event bookings.

resultThe facility is currently in the final phase of construction and is expected to open Spring 2015.
