Implementing in the Western Balkans the 1st step of an ambitious Preservation and Digitization plan?
In 2011, our assumption was: to launch Preservation, Digitization and Promotion Plans for audiovisual and film archives, are needed

In partnership with EBU, INA proceeded with the complete appraisal of archives collections of some Public Service Media (PSM) and Film archives

In addition to these appraisals, in April 2014, at a regional EBU conference hosted by HRT and in partnership with INA and FIAT/IFTA, creation of an Operational team, think tank compsed of SEE PSM heads of Archives Departments:
Operational group headed by Blago Markota (HRT) and Mileta Kecina (RTS) In charge of collecting and compiling necessary data from all PSM to make concrete requests and project proposals for potential donors

•Mobilization for securing external funding to digitalize archives
•Establishment of a shared online workspace for the exchange of materials on EBU platform
•Reflections around a shared database

Involvement of Ministers of Culture from the targeted countries at each step of the project by introducing the seminars
In the process of accession to the European Union, ensured that the local governement will include the question of Preservation and Digitization of Cultural and Audiovisual Heritage in its prioritary fields for Structural and Cohesion Funds

Organization of 2 regional conferences dedicated to decision-makers from the South-Eastern Europe countries in order to raise-awareness on the needs to invest in digitization of audiovisual heritage
