IV Drug and Driving on A Suspended License First Offense A Huntingdon man was arrested for possession of a Sch. IV drug and cited for Driving on a Suspended License First Offense on Feb. 4. According to a report filed by Deputy Eric W. Sawyers, Ms. Allen reported that her grandson, Joseph D. Johnson, 19, of Neely Road, had taken her vehicle without her permission. A short time later, the officer observed Joseph D. Johnson driving a 2000 Nissan Maxima on Purdy Road and had prior knowledge that Johnson’s driver’s license was suspended. Upon stopping Johnson, a computer check confirmed his driver’s license was suspended for violation of the truancy law. Johnson gave deputies verbal consent to search the vehicle, which allegedly revealed that Johnson was in possession of 10 Xanax tablets in a cig- arette box. He stated that he had just bought them from an unknown person at Parker’s Crossroads. Johnson was cited into General Sessions Court for driving on a suspended license first offense and arrested for possession of Sch. IV drug, then transported to the Carroll County Jail with a $500 bond. --- Driving on a Suspended Driver’s License First Offense A Trezevant man was arrested for driving on a suspended driver’s license first offense on Feb. 4. According to a report filed by Deputy Carlton Cupples, Shawn Scrivner, 25, of was driving a Dodge van on Atwood Street and was stopped for a light law violation. A computer check revealed that Scrivner was sus- pended for failure to satisfy a citation on December 13, 2010. --- Drug/Narcotic Violations A Huntingdon woman was arrested for drug/narcotic violations on Feb. 4. According to a report filed by Deputy Scotty Davis, Amy Jo Vinson, 42, of Giles Road, was stopped for run- ning the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 79 and Highway 105 in Trezevant. The defendant allegedly had a strong odor of alcoholic bever- age on her person and was unstable on her feet. She was asked to do a series of field sobriety tasks, to which she did poorly on. The defendant has a prior driving conviction for driving under the influence second offense, with a conviction date of April 13, 2005, out of Cheatham County. The defendant was asked to submit to a chemical test to determine the amount of alcohol and/or drugs in her system, which she refused to do. Reportedly found in her possession was a pill bottle with the name Shane L. Ford, which did contain 1-1/2 white pills which are believed to be Trazodone, which is an RX drug. The officer asked the defendant if she had any contra- band on her person before she entered the Carroll County Jail, to which she replied, “No.” Found in her possession while she was being searched at the Carroll County Jail was a small plastic bag containing a Schedule VI drug (marijuana) with a weight less than a half ounce, according to the report. --- Theft of Money A Huntingdon woman had $400 sto- len from her purse on Feb. 4. According to a report filed by Deputy Dennis Adkins, Vonnie Bell, 46, of Green Allen Springs Road, called the Sheriff ’s Department to report that $400 had been stolen out of her purse, which was sitting on her kitchen table. Bell stated that people had been coming in and out of her residence all day while she was in the back of the residence fixing her cousin’s hair. --- Driving On a Suspended License First Offense, Child Restraint, and No Insurance A Clarksburg woman was arrested and cited for driving on a suspended license first offense, child restraint, and no insurance on Feb. 3. According to a report filed by Deputy Michael R. Verner, Jessica Michelle Azbill, 21, of Laws Lane, was driving on Hwy. 22S in Clarksburg. The officer knew that Azbill’s license was suspended. After stopping her for driving, the officer ran her driver’s license, which came back suspended for failure to provide insurance. Her eligibility date was Oct. 26, 2011. Azbill had two small children in the back seat of her car, who were not in child restraint seats. They were under the age of 6 years-old. Azbill was asked for her insurance. She did not have any at the time of the stop. --- Simple Assault An arrest warrant was issued for simple assault on Feb. 5. According to a report filed by Deputy Carlton Cupples, the sheriff ’s department received a 911 call from a residence on King Loop, Buena Vista, from Jamie Darlene Anderson, 45. Anderson stated that Kevin Rush, 43, of McKenzie Road, had assaulted her. She stated that Rush pushed her over a table, bruising her leg. He also struck her on the chin and hand with a base- ball bat, according to the report. Rush fled the scene before deputies arrived. --- Stolen Dish Network Box and A Central Heat and Air Conditioner Unit A Dish Network Box and a cen- tral heat/air conditioner unit were stolen from a Huntingdon residence on Feb. 6. According to a report filed by Deputy Tommy Decanter, Sunshine Brown, 66, of Baker Road, advised that someone had taken the said items from her home sometime within the last month. She advised that the items were left out to be picked up by mail. --- Domestic Assault A Hollow Rock man was arrested for intimidation on February 8. According to a report filed by Deputy Dennis Adkins, the officer was dispatched to Highland Street, Bruceton, to speak with Tiffany Riggs, concerning her ex-husband, David Sky Riggs, 35, of Hwy. 114. Upon ar- rival, the officer found Ms. Riggs in an upset state. She stated that she went to her ex-husband’s residence to pick up their child. While there, Mr. Riggs started yelling at Ms. Riggs. Ms. Riggs picked up items to leave and Mr. Riggs followed her outside to the vehicle. She got into the vehicle and locked the doors. Ms. Riggs stated that David Riggs punched the window of the vehicle and told her to roll down the window, according the the report. Ms. Riggs stated that she cracked the window, which agitated him that much more. She then tried to leave. At that point, David Riggs picked up an object and came at the vehicle. Ms. Riggs then left the residence. At that time, David Riggs started repeatedly calling her, trying to get her to come back, which she did not do, according to the report. David Riggs was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and transported to the Carroll County Jail and held on a $1,000 bond. --- Disorderly Conduct A Humboldt man was arrested for disorderly conduct on Feb. 8. According to a report filed by Deputy Ryan Dickson, deputies re- ceived a call about a male subject being a public annoyance by beating on doors in the Cedar Grove area. When deputies arrive in the area, the defendant, William Ells, 33, of Soy Drive, was beating on the door at the A&P Market in Cedar Grove. Ells was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to the Carroll County Jail. --- Simple Assault A Huntingdon man was arrested for simple assault on Feb. 5, 2012. According to a report filed by Deputy Dennis Adkins, deputies re- ceived a call to Perritt Lane, Carey Counseling Center that two residents were fighting. The two shift nurses stated that Willie Gene Rivers, 58, had been agitating another resident, Chance Allen, 26, earlier in the eve- ning. It then allegedly escalated to Rivers taking an ink pen and trying to stab Allen with it. Rivers also busted Allen’s lip in the altercation. The nurse got it broke up before deputies arrived. Allen did have a busted lip and several marks where Rivers al- legedly tried to stab him with an ink pen. Rivers was arrested for assault and transported to the Carroll County Jail and held on a $1,000 bond. Carroll County Sheriff ’s Reports The following case was bound over to the Carroll County Grand Jury: Winter N. Santiago, 19, Jones Street, Huntingdon: possession of schedule II, contributing to a minor, no driver’s license, forgery, theft over $1,000, fail to appear. The following cases were disposed: Ray Draper, Highway 79, Trezevant: violation of probation-defendant failed to appear. Take conditional forfeiture on bond and issue warrant for failure to appear with unspecified bond set. Austin Edward Marsuar Williams, 20, Hillcourt Circle, McKenzie: simple assault-deferred probation set aside. Violation of probation-partial proba- tion revocation 10 days, deferred proba- tion set aside. David Edwards, 49, Maytown Road: domestic assault-dismissed. Douglas Eddings, 39, Republican Grove Road: domestic assault-fined nothing, jail sentence of 11 months and 29 days suspended except 30 days, supervised probation for 10 months and 29 days. Fail to appear-fined nothing, jail sentence of 11 months and 29 days suspended except 10 days, supervised probation for 11 months and 19 days. License First OffenseA Huntingdon man was arrested for

possession of a Sch. IV drug and cited for Driving on a Suspended License First Offense on Feb. 4.

According to a report filed by Deputy Eric W. Sawyers, Ms. Allen reported that her grandson, Joseph D. Johnson, 19, of Neely Road, had taken her vehicle without her permission. A short time later, the officer observed Joseph D. Johnson driving a 2000 Nissan Maxima on Purdy Road and had prior knowledge that Johnson’s driver’s license was suspended. Upon stopping Johnson, a computer check confirmed his driver’s license was suspended for violation of the truancy law. Johnson gave deputies verbal consent to search the vehicle, which allegedly revealed that Johnson was in possession of 10 Xanax tablets in a cig-arette box. He stated that he had just bought them from an unknown person at Parker’s Crossroads. Johnson was cited into General Sessions Court for driving on a suspended license first offense and arrested for possession of Sch. IV drug, then transported to the Carroll County Jail with a $500 bond.

driving on a suspended driver’s license first offense on Feb. 4.

According to a report filed by De puty Carlton Cupples, Shawn Scrivner, 25, of was driving a Dodge van on Atwood Street and was stopped for a light law violation. A computer check revealed that Scrivner was sus-pended for failure to satisfy a citation on December 13, 2010.

---Drug/Narcotic Violations

A Huntingdon woman was arrested for drug/narcotic violations on Feb. 4.

According to a report filed by Deputy Scotty Davis, Amy Jo Vinson, 42, of Giles Road, was stopped for run-ning the stop sign at the intersection of Highway 79 and Highway 105 in Trezevant. The defendant allegedly had a strong odor of alcoholic bever-age on her person and was unstable on her feet. She was asked to do a series of field sobriety tasks, to which she did poorly on. The defendant has a prior driving conviction for driving under the influence second offense, with a conviction date of April 13, 2005, out of Cheatham County. The defendant was asked to submit to a chemical test to determine the amount of alcohol and/or drugs in her system, which she refused to do. Reportedly found in her possession was a pill bottle with the name Shane L. Ford, which did contain 1-1/2 white pills which are believed to be Trazodone, which is an RX drug. The officer asked the defendant if she had any contra-band on her person before she entered the Carroll County Jail, to which she replied, “No.” Found in her possession while she was being searched at the

Carroll County Jail was a small plastic bag containing a Schedule VI drug (marijuana) with a weight less than a half ounce, according to the report.

---Theft of Money

A Huntingdon woman had $400 sto-len from her purse on Feb. 4.

According to a report filed by Deputy Dennis Adkins, Vonnie Bell, 46, of Green Allen Springs Road, called the Sheriff ’s Department to report that $400 had been stolen out of her purse, which was sitting on her kitchen table. Bell stated that people had been coming in and out of her residence all day while she was in the back of the residence fixing her cousin’s hair.

---Driving On a Suspended

License First Offense, Child Restraint, and No Insurance

A Clarksburg woman was arrested and cited for driving on a suspended license first offense, child restraint, and no insurance on Feb. 3.

According to a report filed by Deputy Michael R. Verner, Jessica Michelle Azbill, 21, of Laws Lane, was driving on Hwy. 22S in Clarksburg. The officer knew that Azbill’s license was suspended. After stopping her for driving, the officer ran her driver’s license, which came back suspended for failure to provide insurance. Her eligibility date was Oct. 26, 2011. Azbill had two small children in the back seat of her car, who were not in child restraint seats. They were under the age of 6 years-old. Azbill was asked for her insurance. She did not have any at the time of the stop.

---Simple Assault

An arrest warrant was issued for simple assault on Feb. 5.

According to a report filed by Deputy Carlton Cupples, the sheriff ’s department received a 911 call from a residence on King Loop, Buena Vista, from Jamie Darlene Anderson, 45. Anderson stated that Kevin Rush, 43, of McKenzie Road, had assaulted her. She stated that Rush pushed her over a table, bruising her leg. He also struck her on the chin and hand with a base-ball bat, according to the report. Rush fled the scene before deputies arrived.

---Stolen Dish Network Box and A Central Heat and

Air Conditioner UnitA Dish Network Box and a cen-

tral heat/air conditioner unit were stolen from a Huntingdon residence on Feb. 6.

According to a report filed by Deputy Tommy Decanter, Sunshine Brown, 66, of Baker Road, advised that someone had taken the said items from her home sometime within the last month. She advised that the items were left out to be picked up by mail.

---Domestic Assault

A Hollow Rock man was arrested for intimidation on February 8.

According to a report filed by Deputy Dennis Adkins, the officer was dispatched to Highland Street, Bruceton, to speak with Tiffany Riggs, concerning her ex-husband, David Sky Riggs, 35, of Hwy. 114. Upon ar-rival, the officer found Ms. Riggs in an upset state. She stated that she went to her ex-husband’s residence to pick up their child. While there, Mr. Riggs started yelling at Ms. Riggs. Ms. Riggs picked up items to leave and Mr. Riggs followed her outside to the vehicle. She got into the vehicle and locked the doors. Ms. Riggs stated that David Riggs punched the window of the vehicle and told her to roll down the window, according the the report. Ms. Riggs stated that she cracked the window, which agitated him that much more. She then tried to leave. At that point, David Riggs picked up an object and came at the vehicle. Ms. Riggs then left the residence. At that time, David Riggs started repeatedly calling her, trying to get her to come back, which she did not do, according to the report. David Riggs was arrested and charged with Domestic Assault and transported to the Carroll County Jail and held on a $1,000 bond.

---Disorderly Conduct

A Humboldt man was arrested for disorderly conduct on Feb. 8.

According to a report filed by Deputy Ryan Dickson, deputies re-ceived a call about a male subject being a public annoyance by beating on doors in the Cedar Grove area. When deputies arrive in the area, the defendant, William Ells, 33, of Soy Drive, was beating on the door at the A&P Market in Cedar Grove. Ells was charged with disorderly conduct and transported to the Carroll County Jail.

---Simple Assault

A Huntingdon man was arrested for simple assault on Feb. 5, 2012.

According to a report filed by Deputy Dennis Adkins, deputies re-ceived a call to Perritt Lane, Carey Counseling Center that two residents were fighting. The two shift nurses stated that Willie Gene Rivers, 58, had been agitating another resident, Chance Allen, 26, earlier in the eve-ning. It then allegedly escalated to Rivers taking an ink pen and trying to stab Allen with it. Rivers also busted Allen’s lip in the altercation. The nurse got it broke up before deputies arrived. Allen did have a busted lip and several marks where Rivers al-legedly tried to stab him with an ink pen. Rivers was arrested for assault and transported to the Carroll County Jail and held on a $1,000 bond.
