Well, we’re in the home stretch of 2008, and if you hadn’t noticed

already, Christmas is right around the corner. Luckily my gift list is a short one, but if you’re anything like me, then you’re probably going to wait until the last possible minute to actually do any kind of shopping.

Although this year is almost over, there seems to be something exciting about bringing this year to a close and getting the new year under way. It may have something to do with the conclusion of the presidential election, which will definitely bring about change one way or the other.

For us here at Carolina12 Magazine, 2008 has been a good year. With the support of our friends, partners, and readers, we were able to bring you this publication for the past eight months, and we look forward to what the new year has in store for the magazine.

More importantly I’m looking forward to the New Year’s celebration and festivities. Raleigh definitely has a lot of new places to get your groove on this new year’s. Wherever you decide to celebrate, just remember to be safe.

We’ll see you next year!

The 5800 supports comes with music service, which allows a years worth of unlimited downloads from the Nokia Music Store. Some of the other features are built in stereo speakers, video recording, flash support, and a 3.2 megapixel camera with a Carl Zeiss lens.

3. Get lost much?Bushnell BackTrackAre you’re the type of person that likes to just drive around in a new city or new part of town, but you always seem to get lost? Then this device is for you. The BackTrack is a small pocket size personal GPS device that can find up to 3 locations. Once you’ve stored a location in the device all you have to do is push a button and it will navigate you back to where you started.

2. Movies on the go!Lumus Video Eye GlassesStraight out of a SciFi movie, you can wear these glasses, watch a movie, and walk at the same time! That’s just one part of it. You can also view web content and get walking GPS directions all while wearing these glasses. The glasses employ a Light-guide Optical Element (LOE) a patented, disruptive technology which enables an ultra-thin lens high resolution and full color images in front of the eye. Image content from any portable device is projected into the side of the LOE and creates the effect of watching a 60” inch screen from 10’.

No longer will you go to the grocery store only to get home and realize you forgot something that you really needed. You simply scan the barcode on groceries before you throw them in trash and ikan will automatically create a grocery list that you can view online, or send to your grocery store, or print off to take with you.

Grant Haze’s Music Review:Who better to review music than a musician. Grant is a locally known musician who’s teamed up with us to review other up and coming local bands, rappers, and musicians.www.myspace.com/granthaze

Band: Operiodwww.myspace.com/periodwww.operiod.com

The Music CornerAttention all musicians, the bar has officially been raised! At last a senior in a sea of rookie wanna be MC’s. Omatadie lends his credibility to the Raleigh music scene once again with his

latest venture, Operiod. Some of you, over the drinking age, might remember him from Squeeze Toy, but a good villain always comes back twice. You have a lot of cats out there today copying their role models. That doesn’t make you an artist, that makes you a fan. It’s ok to be inspired by another artist, but you have to take that inspiration and create your own art.

This brings me to my next point: au·then·tic / Pronunciation [aw-then-tik] –adjective 1. not false or copied; genuine; real: an authentic antique. Making music is a creative process followed by an editing process of equal importance, for a polished sound. Operiod appears to have done their homework. The band’s latest release, The Primary EP, is a jam session of seasoned players, top notch vocalist, and one witty MC! Listen at your own risk, but you might find yourself humming one of the bands infectious hooks or guitar riffs all day long. I’d call The Primary EP a successful fusion of rap, rock, and hip hop. I must applaud the group for even attempting such a bold undertaking. Would you rather live in a studio apartment or a lavish mansion? It’s simple. More rooms, more options, more fun!!! All the layers of rhythm and texture on this album give your ears door after door to get your party on. Omatadie, the band’s front man, hangs out by the bar with all the swagger of a 30 something slick talker who spits when he talks. Get it? Good. Now, check out their myspace, cop The Primary EP, learn track number 5, go to a show, and sing along. “It might sound bad, but don’t it feel good to ya?”

Rusty Nail:

3/4 oz. Scotch1/4 oz. Drambuie

The Rusty Nail is a Scottish drink blending Scotch and Drambuie. This is a perfect cocktail for fall / autumn drinking, with its golden brown color and hearty kick!

For those who are curious, Drambuie is a mixed liquor made in Scotland, and its name comes from the Gaelic phrase “the drink that satisfies”. It is mostly Scotch whisky blends plus honey.

DOP’s TOP 5 Christmas Gift Ideas

Christmas shopping can be hectic and depending on your gift giving situation, your budget, and most important the person receiving the gift, there are a lot of ideas to

consider. Is the person high maintenance, is the gift high maintenance, do they have space for anything large, or alive, etc. I try not to over think it, just make a decision and stick with it.

1. If you have a mother that likes to cook the Aerogarden is an excellent addition to any kitchen. What is it? It’s a NASA tested aeroponic system that grows plants in water, nutrients and air. You can harvest your garden in about 4 weeks and continue to harvest for 4 to 5 months giving you fresh herbs or vegetables to cook with. www.arerogrow.com

2. Shopping for your Dad is probably the easiest thing to do as long as you stick to the basics, which are: Sports, hardware, automotive, and outdoors activities. I recommend golf lessons, not only will it get him out of the house, but even if he doesn’t know how to play he’ll appreciate it more than a tie saying “#1 Dad”. Go to any local golf course. Almost all of them have golf pros offering lessons.

3. Finding the right gift for a sibling shouldn’t be challenging because most of the time they’ll tell you what they want, but if you want to surprise them then keep it simple. Get them a membership to a beer or wine of the month club. Not only do they get something each month but you get to enjoy it too!

4. Okay, now we get down to it. The Girlfriend. This is tough because there are a lot of factors to consider like how long you’ve been dating, how serious it is, where’s the relationship going? Jewelry is always a good way to go, but if you’re not sure about the future then treat her like a Queen and get her a day at the spa. Just don’t mention the jewelry option.

5. Ladies, I recommend you be the cool Girlfriend and give him something an Ex once gave me. Scuba lessons! Think about it, most dives are in tropical locations, which means you get to go too! He’ll love the opportunity to try out a new sport and you can join in on the fun.

Conversation Starters:

“Excuse me, do you have the time?” You: “Do you have the energy?” At the office copy machine “Reproducing eh?” “Can I help?”

Baby, I’m an American Express lover...you shouldn’t go home without me! Can you believe that just a few hours ago we’d never even been to bed together? Congratulations! You have just been voted “Most Beautiful Boy/Girl In This Room” and the grand prize is a night with me! Do you have a mirror in your pocket? (Why?) Because I could see myself in your pants.

Do you know the essential difference between sex and conversation? (No.) Do you wanna go upstairs and talk.

Do you know, your hair and my pillow are perfectly color coordinated.

Do you like short love affairs? I hate them. I’ve got all weekend.

Do you mind if I stare at you up close instead of from across the room?

ENTERTAINMENT

As a partygoer, you need to make the time to visit this Raleigh hot spot in the Warehouse District in Downtown Raleigh, North Carolina. The bartenders sometimes put on a show, think Tom Cruise in the movie Cocktail’s, as they make you a drink or pour you a shot. The special skills they posses will keep you entertained while you’re sitting around the bar. If that doesn’t keep your attention, then the DJ’s are usually playing a variety of music that will give you something to dance to throughout the night. No matter what, be sure to make White Collar Crime one of your destinations every weekend.

Hip Hop SlangBy: Wayne Street

As Hip-hop grows it has seen a huge amount of new expressions cropping up in everyday conversation. So, we are going to try and get you down with some of the most

commonly used terms…

Have you ever watched a rap video and wondered what the heck they were saying? Or would you have trouble telling the difference between a ‘mack daddy’ and a ‘chump’?

If you answered yes to either of these questions then this is the article

for you. Hip-hop is a whole culture that includes fashion, music, break-dancing, graffiti and other things, and the use of slang links them all.

The widespread popularity of hip-hop has meant that a huge amount of expressions have been adapted into the mainstream. But if you’re new to the hip-hop scene understanding the lingo can be a little bit tricky so here are a few of the most commonly used words and terms…

banging - to be very attractive, “She was banging at that party!”

benjamins - refers to 100 dollar bills after the American president Benjamin Franklin, whose face is on them. “It’s all about the benjamins”.bling bling - expensive jewelry or other expensive material possessions, refers to the imaginary sound of glistening metal or other shiny surfaces. “bling bling” added to Oxford Dictionary

bo janglin’ – stupid, not paying attention

busted - ugly, “Yo’ girl is busted.”

dope - cool, tight

dime - a very attractive woman, a “ten” on a scale of one-to-ten

fly - appealing “She is so fly.”

koolin’ it - kickin’ it, chilling

kickin’ - appealing “Those rims are kickin.”

straight - okay

tight - attractive “Your car is tight.”

wack - not to one’s liking “This relationship is totally wack.”

ba-donka-donk - an incredibly attractive booty.

bail - leave “I’m gonna bail.”

bent - intoxicated

buggin’ - acting in a manner which is not socially acceptable “Why she buggin’?”

bumpin’ - to one’s liking “That song is bumpin’.”

busta move - to act quickly, or to perform a dance move

diss - to show disrespect.

jet - leave “We gotta jet.”

lunchin’ - behaving erratically

Jessica S.

I had the pleasure of spending a little time with Jessica, our 4th cover model, and she’s not your typical model. Not only is she absolutely gorgeous, but she’s extremely intelligent and guys, she’s extremely married. That’s right, this multi-racial bombshell is off the market and a busy mother of a 2 year old son. Oh and it doesn’t just stop there, this high school honor graduate has some pretty lofty civic minded ambitions. In between work, college and her son, Jessica took some time out of her busy schedule to sit down for a little talk with me.

How did you feel when you got the word that you were going grace the cover of our next issue?Really excited, it’s big opportunity and it’s my first magazine!

How long have you been modeling?I’ve only been modeling since last February. I’ve done some pageants in the past when I was younger like 1 or 2, but this is my first magazine.

What’s the first thing you notice about a man?Eyes, caring eyes. I like it when a man is looking at you not thru you at other girls.

What’s the best way to seduce you?Show me that you care about me. Show me that I’m not going to be just another girl in your book.

What part of you body is your weak spot?My mind over my body. A lot of people assume that since I model that I’m not intelligent, but that’s not the case.

What’s something people are surprised to learn about you? That I’m an honor graduate and a married mother of a 2 year old boy.

What are your career aspirations?I want to switch from Biology to Psychology and do something in non-profit, working with kids dealing with teen pregnancy and problem kids.

What do you have coming up in the future?I’m working on a video for the BET Wrap it Up campaign November 30th in D.C. It’s about safe sex awareness.

If you were stranded on a deserted island and you could bring 1 thing, what would you bring?Food.

What do you do to relieve stress?I like to do Yoga and Palates. It’s really good for your mind.

What’s your favorite Yoga pose?Everyone loves the downward dog! (she laughs with a beautiful smile)

Donkey or Elephant?OBAMA! My biggest thing about the election is that it doesn’t matter who you vote for just as long as you vote. You can’t complain if you don’t vote!

Any predictions on Obama’s first term?I’m just really excited and I hope he does a good job and that everyone will except the fact that he’s everyone’s president regardless if you like him or not and except what he’s trying to do for change.

>>SPORTS

ACC Basketball has a long and rich tradition of NCAA Tournament success. Over the last few seasons that has not been the case, with fewer and fewer teams being invited to the NCAA Tournament recently. The conference does have enough quality teams this year to legitimately have six teams in the NCAA Basketball Tournament and two in the National Invitational Tournament. It could also potentially boast two Final Four contenders for the first time since 2004, when the Duke Blue Devils and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets made it to San Antonio.

North Carolina returns all but two contributors from last season. Plus, it returns the AP College Basketball Player of the Year Tyler Hansbrough. He has several records in his sights and the National Championship in his grasps again. With that being said, the return of point guard Tywon Lawson is the biggest reason UNC is the consensus pick to win the a National Title in 2009. Coach Roy Williams has another top recruiting class coming in this year with Ed Davis, Tyler Zeller and Larry Drew. All three of the incoming freshmen will see minutes off the bench this year, and will also have an opportunity to learn from the experienced Tar Heel roster. UNC has reloaded for this championship run and with Hansbrough, Lawson and company they are positioned for the their fifth title and second in five years.

Coach Mike Krzyzewski spent his offseason coaching the USA Men’s Basketball team to Olympic gold in China for the Games of the XXIX Olympiad. Now he has returned to Durham, North Carolina with a renewed energy, according to sources close to the program. One of the main reasons for the new energy is this year’s recruiting class. For the past several years his “good friend” 15 miles away in Chapel Hill, North Carolina has been dominating this area of the coaching game. The current team has a few new faces that can assist it this year – Elliot Williams, Olek Czyz and Miles Plumlee. All three will have

an immediate impact and Williams has an opportunity to work himself into the starting lineup by the time ACC play starts. The other key to Duke’s success, this year, is the health of Greg Paulus and Gerald Henderson. If both players can stay on the court for the 2008 – 2009 season and Kyle Singler lives up to his pro prospect potential, Duke could also be back in the Final Four.

Wake Forest coach Dino Gaudio was able to secure the impressive 2008 recruiting class that his mentor, the late Skip Prosser, had put together before he suddenly passed away before the beginning of last season, with the addition of one of the top recruits in the nation to the program. Al Farouq Aminu will accompany Ty Walker and Tony Woods to the Demon Deacon campus. The expectations are extremely high this season in Winston Salem, North Carolina due to these freshmen and the return of all of its starters (three sophomores and two freshmen) from 2008. The team will have an opportunity to compete for one of the top four spots in the ACC and an NCAA Tourney bid with all of its talent. The key will be how the newcomers contribute and bond with the current players and not repeat last season’s collapse.

North Carolina State was predicted to have a breakout season in 2007 but had some costly injuries. When new superstar recruit J.J. Hickson came to campus, it ended up causing chemistry problems in the front court. The Wolfpack will count on the combination of Brandon Costner and Ben McCauley to bring back the winning tradition. The most important aspect of this season will reside in the Backcourt. Courtney Fells will anchor this group and they’ll look to have a point guard emerge by the time it reaches ACC play. Farnold Degand will take over the point guard position after his season ending knee injury last year. Freshmen C.J. Williams and Julius Mays will also be counted on this season. Williams is talented enough that Coach Sidney Lowe might have to go to a three guard starting lineup to maximize his talent pool. The 2008 – 2009 basketball season will be an interesting one for the other team on Tobacco

Road because it will play UNC, Duke, Wake Forest and Miami twice this season. The Pack will need to improve on its decision making at the point guard level to earn a post season invitation at the end of the year.

Miami, Clemson and Virginia Tech should each solidify their position at the top of the league this season and also make the NCAA Tournament. Miami returns All ACC Jack McClinton and the talented Lance Hurdle at the guard position. KC Rivers will be the best player on Clemson’s roster and he’ll look to lead the team to its second straight NCAA bid after a nine year absence. Virginia Tech only lost one significant player, Deron Washington, and it will build on its recruiting success over the past few years.

The rest of the ACC will be fighting to take one of the final post season invitations to the NCAA Tournament or go to NIT in 2009. It’s difficult to predict the remaining team’s positions in this league, due to the similarities in the programs. The ACC will be top heavy again this season and it will have two legitimate NCAA Final Four teams. One thing is for certain, the ACC will be an exciting conference to watch as a fan again this year.

When I was given my test drive assignment for this issue, I was extremely eager to drive the new 2009 Lexus

SC 430. The car is sleek and stylish, and could make Ugly Betty look sexy. From the second I walked into the dealership and met the saleswoman, I knew I was going to get lucky with this one. The car features a 288 horsepower 4.3 Liter V8 engine and can get from 0 – 60 in just under six seconds. As we walked around opposite sides of the vehicle, she began to tell me about the ride we were about to enjoy together. I knew it was about to happen and I was getting excited!

Once we found the convertible car that she chose for us, I entered it first and she just stared at me to admire my anticipation of my first experience behind the wheel. I told her that I would hate to do this alone and would she like to come along for the occasion. When we were strapped in, I started the engine up and it purred liked a kitten when it is petted on its belly. As we took off out of the parking lot, I exploded onto the road in front of some oncoming traffic with ease. I glanced over at my test partner waiting to be scolded like a

school boy, but all she said was, “The Mark Levinson Premium Audio System allows the volume to automatically adjust when the top is down to the road noise.” Simply stated, “I was in love…with this car!” She went on to tell me that the Navigation System is voice activated, I could transfer phone numbers and addresses to the car from my cell phone to make entering destinations easier and the Bluetooth technology would allow me to answer a phone call with a touch of a button. These features are becoming pretty standard in most automobiles. It is a great technology for people who are trying to hold the cell phone, shift gears and by the way drive their cars! Lastly, the hand-stitched leather-trimmed seating is so comfortable that I thought we were lying in a bed together instead of riding in an automobile.

As we came to the conclusion of our encounter, all I could think about was how fantastic this experience had been with her. The pleasure of the ride was undeniable and I would recommend the Lexus SC 430 Coupe to anyone who is the market for this type of automobile. All I have to say is Buy One and Get Lucky!

“You been in the area long?” It is a question I am asked at least five times a week. It is the beginning of what often turns out to be the same conversation I have every time the question is asked. And I am okay with that… In fact, I love it. While I am a fan of trying new things, I am also a man who is in love with knowing what to expect. There’s something subtly comforting about knowing exactly what you’re about to get. It is wonderful to be considered a regular and there is greatness in knowing what I want without perusing at a menu.

The answer to the question: I’ve been here almost ten years now. This means that most of the hot spots around town were built after I got here, and if this goes well, maybe I’ll talk about them at a later date. This column is all about the places I can go in Downtown Raleigh without needing to see the menu.

I pose this question, “Is there anything better than a good burger and a beer?” I’ll also answer, “Yes. Two good burgers and more beer.”MoJoe’s has been around since before I got here. After work, there is almost nothing I enjoy more than seeing a heavily tattooed young woman bringing me a mushroom swiss burger. “Yes, Thank you, I will have another New Castle,” I say with a wink. She doesn’t seem interested. It may not be the trendiest place you could eat, there’s a juke on the wall and pictures all over the wall of people who have eaten the 1 lb. burger, but they’ve got weekly drink specials and during the week I can wander in after 10 p.m. and the burgers are a dollar. They’re a dollar! I can buy three burgers for the same price that I would spend on a gallon of gas. Is it the best burger I’ve ever had? Sadly no. It is, however, the best one I’ve ever had for a dollar.

“But Ben,” you say, “I’ve got more than $15. I’m trendy and cool and want to hang out where the fly honeys is.” After I’m done twitching, I consider your query. The issue is that whatever is new and hot is built often times on the business of whatever was new and hot before, so things shut down and reopen and on and on. I promise I’ll get there someday, but for the moments let’s keep talking about the pillars of our social scene.

I love fish and chips. I love it when you take fish and fry it in dark, beautiful beer and then bring it to me, heaped on a plate while I listen to live, local music and smile coyly at the cute little redhead who brought it to me. “Thanks, sweetheart, do you mind bringing me another Guiness?” She also seems disinterested, something else I can apparently count on. Tir Na Nog sits near what I like to consider the live music section of Downtown Raleigh. If I’ve decided to take in a show somewhere because my college roommate’s cousin’s fraternity brother started a band, I do my best to wander up to Tir Na Nog afterwards. They’ve got a great menu, a fully stocked bar, great service and a fully stocked bar. Yes, I know it’s in there twice. It’s a really nice bar… and on Wednesday’s they run specials on their massive stock of whiskeys. Also, if you say it with a slight lilt, it isn’t offensive to say you’re “just out trying to get a ‘lil lass.”

Finally, because I’m such a sweetheart, I’ll let you have a trendy spot show up in this column. I do so, not because it’s trendy, however, but because it’s just, in my mind, the best damn place in town to eat. It’s where I go, for the most part, for every special occasion, and not only because it’s got classic style, an upbeat bar scene and the friendliest staff I’ve ever met, but also because the food is exceptional.Sullivan’s Steakhouse on Glenwood South is easily my favorite place to go in Raleigh. It’s been here and successful for so long because it absolutely deserves it. It’s not cheap, but if you’re looking forward to taking someone out and showing them a good time, I can not think of a single place that would be better. I will watch my filet coming across the room escorted by a young woman who apparently decided to give up a lucrative modeling career to instead bring me horseradish mashed potatoes. “Yes, thank you, I’d love another glass of wine.” I’m always too enraptured by my food to flirt. The bar is well stocked and well staffed and if you’re on a bit of a budget, there are weekly specials on both food and drinks. Sullivan’s is the kind of place that I am constantly looking for an excuse to go to, and lately I’ve begun to decide that I don’t need one.

It’s fairly obvious to me that the reason a place stays open long enough to become a city staple is because they do their job well and people appreciate it and keep coming back. Following that logic, they make themselves stand out as the best. There are other great places to eat, drink and hang out in Raleigh, and I hope I get a chance to write about them. If for some reason I don’t, then I’m glad I got to put the important ones down, because I guess I feel like I owe them something. When I go to a new bar for the first time and don’t enjoy it, I don’t come back. I went out to have a good time and sadly, it wasn’t in supply. The guys who stay busy and know what they’re doing, though, they keep giving me a good time.

TABLE MANNERS by Wayne Street>>

The Mint

Jeremy Clayman got his first taste of the restaurant business at the age of 15 when he was washing dishes and eventually

began to do some prep work. Jeremy cooked on and off throughout college, but it wasn’t until after college that he really became inspired to become a chef and eventually trained at the culinary arts school in Charleston, S.C. Jeremy, now 30, is the executive chef at one of the hottest restaurants in Raleigh, so we sat down with him to get some of his thoughts.

What has influenced your cooking the most?I grew up eating from my grandparents garden. So, stuff right out of the ground is really influential, because there are a lot of things that you don’t have to toy with, even game and poultry. Sean Brock is still an inspiration to me as well.

Who writes your menu? There is a little bit of static as far as trying to move to forward to fast.

But we toy around with a balance with what we want to do and what we think is cool and fun and turn it to where our clientele will enjoy it.

Best piece of advice you would give a home enthusiast?Get a great knife and keep it sharp. Being able to cut something perfectly and properly is one of the basic skills in a kitchen.

Is there a guilty secret — something canned, something hokey — in your arsenal of ingredients?I probably over use thyme, but something hokey I use is probably truffle oil.

What do you cook when you’re at home?I cook a lot at home. I really love to cook, so I try to keep fun and fresh.

What Raleigh restaurant(s), other than The Mint, do you like to visit when you have the chance? 18 Seaboard does a really consistent good job. I enjoy eating his food. I also enjoy a lot of the food at the Raleigh Times. J. Betski’s is also very good.

>> CAROLINA12’S ROAD TRIP

By Mike Doplemore

The day to day hustle and bustle of a growing city like Raleigh can take its toll on anyone. That’s why it’s important to get away from time to time, and take a little break from the norm. Well, I did

just that, by taking a step back to the days of my youth. When hiking was called exploring, or just fun. I went on a road trip to Raven Rock State Park in Lillington, NC, about an hours drive from Raleigh.

There’s a lot of history for you to explore starting with rocks themselves. Raven Rock is located in an area where the resistant, hard rock of the foothills lend way to the soft rocks and sediments that are associated with the coastal plains. They were formed about 400 million years ago by intense heat and pressure. Over time the swirling winds and water erod-ed the land, carving and shaping Raven Rock. This immense structure rises about 150 feet and runs along the Cape Fear River for more than a mile. The Siouan and Tuscarora Indians hunted the lands until European settlers arrived in the mid-1700’s. The settlers used the land primarily for hunting and trapping but later built stores, mills and quarries. As more settlers arrived they began to harvest the land for timber.

In later years a road connected Raleigh to Fayetteville crossed the Cape Fear River via the Northington Ferry and was the areas major travel route. Locks and damns were built along the river to assist navigation by boat and the river boat pilots used Raven Rock as a navigational landmark. Unfortunately a hurricane destroyed the locks in 1859 and they were never rebuilt. It wasn’t until 1969 when a bill was passed in the General Assembly that created the state park and it has grown from 390 to 4,684 acres where it is today.

When you get to the park you have the choice of 10 trails and loops, with exertion levels ranging from easy to moderate. The facilities are limited but adequate with a vending machine and a restroom located next to the parking lot. I planned ahead and

brought along a few snacks and extra water. The trails range in length from 1/2 a mile up to 4, but if you add loops to your adventure you can get a pretty good workout with miles of hiking and nature at your leisure. I decided to take the Campbell Creek Loop Trail so I can make my way over to Lanier Falls. The falls is the best way to end a hike on a warm day because once you arrive you can tread out in the shallow waters over to the rocks that create the Lanier Falls. Locals go there for picnics or just to sun bathe and relax. This is one of the many things you can do at Raven Rock State Park, it’s also open to camping, canoeing, fishing to name a few.

If nature is your thing then you will enjoy Raven Rock State Park. There’s plenty of things to see and do and a lot of history that you can learn. I barely scratched the surface on my half day hike, but I can’t wait to get back out there and recapture a part of my youth along with some of the living history of Raven Rock State Park.
