Carbonera, Bergasa (La Rioja)
• 80 ha vineyard that belongs to Viñedos Baron de Ley
• The vineyard has been planted in a new area, at higher altitude than ever tried in that region (up to 900 m)
• White varieties with relatively low heat requirements have been chosen: Verdejo, Chardonnay and Sauvignon B,
• Concerned on planting at higher altitude or not

Severe trimming aiming at:• Delaying veraison
• Delaying ripening
• Improving harvest quality
In our study conditions, severe trimming did not cause an improvement in plant water status as a general rule
