    The Cebu Bible Seminary began Its 18th year ofclasses on August4, 1964. The current enrollment (s 25, with students coming from fourdifferent provinces of the central and southern Philippines. A week oforientation activities was held before classes actually began on thethe 10th. During orientation week new students were-given lectures onpertinent topics, as well as a sight-seeing tour chest x-rays and

    The school has two departments - the college and the Institute.

    graduates.addition to academic subjects, music courses are offered in-

    The Seminary camous is located about 7 miles from Cebu City, on a plot of land donated by Ray and Imogens Carlson.The school has Its own electric pump for providing water, and is equipped with electric lights in all buildings. Thero-iS-anabundance of fruit trees on the campus as well as a vegetable garden which helps to supply food for the students.

    Upon entering the campus the first building to be seen is a cement structure which presently serves as library. Over

    2,500 volumes are on the shelves, in addition to numerous pamphlets and unbound periodicals. The office of the director andthe music room are also in this building.Two wooden frame buildings, with two stories each, have been constructed to serve as dormitories. Below the men's

    dorm are three offices, a classroom, and the printing press. Beiow the women s dorm are the dining hail and kitchen, as wellas one office room.

    An opeivair chapel serves as classroom and assembly hall for Seminary activities, as well as a meeting place for theSan Isidro congregation on the Lord's Days and Wednesday evenings.

    Construction was started on July 15th on a new cement building which Is later to be used as the library and Is to benamed the GUEMGRIFFITH MEMORIALBUILDING in memory of a former missionary in Cebu who passed away In August of1963. ^ _

Holidavs and vacation periods also offer opporlu *nitles for holding Vacation Bible Schools and evangelistic meetings. -

    In additionto tite missionarios there are several Fiiiolno /memorial ueraryworkers on the Seminary staff. Brother Jerry Lacson teaches m thecollege department and serves as dean of men. Mrs. Victorlana Joyohoy and Mrs. Dulce Labrado teach In the institute department. Miss Mamerta Dimacutac has been added to the staff beginning this school year to serve as dean of women and librarian.A full-time cook, Mrs. Rebecca Ababon has also been hired this year.

    The motto of Cebu Bible Seminary is taken from 11 Timothy 2:2 ~ And the things that thou hast heard of me amongmany witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men who shall be able to teach others also. This Is the aimof the Cebumissionaries - to train a faithful ministry who in turn will train others, In order that Christ may be known throughout theseislands.

    In additionto literature work Don serves as audio-vlsual aids director and has exhibited 16mmreligious films in everysection of Cebu a city of a quarterof a million.Tract and Scripturedistribution has also beenemphasized.On July 24 1964Don was awardeda certificate of appreciation for distribution and promotionof the useof the Biblein the Philippines bythe Philippine Bibie House in Manila.

    Miss Benedicta Deodorohas been employedas the editor of Ang Kristohanonand RogeiioCells serves as printer.Pledged mission support for these two workers Is still needed. Used literature received from American churches is distributedby the literature department of the mission.

    The Missionhas prepareda 16mm color film presentation called Pedro Goes to Bible College whichwill soonbemade available to American churches for use. It describes the various phases of life In the Philippines and the workof theCebu ChristianMission.Film slides and fllmstrlps also Incolor are now availablefor churchesand mission study groups.O.y.S.S.packetshavebeenpreparedbyEleanor Davisand BettyTurnerand are currentlyavailablefromforwardingagents
