Just in case you missed it last week A New MSC Video…Makes its Debut

Since the launch of the new Mother Cabrini website in February of 2015, the MSC Communications Office, in tandem with the Stella Maris Province Vocation Promotion Team, has been working on the production of new promotional materials that compliment the graphic design and messaging of the updated province website. Thanks to this collaborative effort, a new brochure, designed to reflect the colors and style of the www.mothercabrini.org website are in the process of delivery this week.

Additionally, a brief video, intended as a compliment to the printed materials, providing a comprehensive overview of the life and ministries of the Missionary Sisters, has been produced and is now featured on the MSC website and on social media.

We have linked the video for download so that Missionary Sisters and all Cabrini ministries are invited to use the video for occasions such as new employee orientations; student recruitment fairs; opening reflections at board and staff meetings; introductory protocols at special events and, most certainly, as a way of inviting young women to consider their life’s vocation as a Missionary Sister of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.

Special thanks to Gina Scarpello, Director of Cabrini Mission Corps, and CMC missioner Ashley Block for lending their video and photographic talent and expertise to make the video a reality.

To download and view the video please click here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/wwhwsbzaln3jpo5/MSC%20Movie%206may2016.mp4?dl=0 The video may take a while to buffer. You can also copy and paste the link in your browser. To view the video on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_4kdKESfIcs&feature=youtu.be

A Congratulatory Message….

One  Minute  Meditation    Make  This  a  Time  for  Peace

That  clanging  sound  you  heard  this  week  is  the  gate  of  the  Easter  season  swinging  shut  behind  us.    We’re  now  back  in  Ordinary  Time,  which  can  be  a  little  disorienting.    If

Advent  is  about  waiting,  Lent  about  repenting,  and  Easter  about  rejoicing,  then  what  is  the  rest  of  the  Church  year  about?    Ordinary  time  is  the  “green”  season,  and  green

means  life  in  nature  and  in  liturgy.    We  dedicate  34  weeks  of  the  year  to  the  wide-‐open  possibilities  of  living  and  growing  in  grace,  a  time  of  hope  and  holiness.    Cultivate  peace  wherever  you  are.    ~  Take  Five  for  Faith

Adding Further Beauty to Holy Ground

###

Keeping Their Cabrini Connections Alive and Well Each  May,  a  group  of  long-‐time  and  retired  Cabrini  College  faculty  and  staff  members  gather  for  a  luncheon  to  mark  the  close  of  the  academic  year,  to  renew  friendships,  and  to  relive  wonderful  memories.    This  Spring  tradition  has  been  going  on  for  at  least  a  decade.      Gathered  this  year  are  front  row  from  left:  Dr.  Maggie  McGuinness;  Sr.  Christine  Marie  Baltas,  MSC;  Nancy  Gorevin  Costello;  Dr.  Adeline  Bethany;  Dr.  Sharon  Schwarze,  and  Zita  Derham.    Middle  row,  from  left:  Mary  Budzilowicz;  Helen  Goodwin;  Dr.  Mary  Ann  Biller-‐FIschetti;  Ruby  Remley;  Carol  Serotta  and  Cathy  Yungmann.  Back  row  from  left:  Dr.  Marge  Reher;  Dr.  Candi  Corbin-‐Sicoli  and  Ann  Servey.

Since  his  arrival,  Cabrini  College  President    Dr.  Donald  Taylor  has  inaugurated  the  tradition  of    spring  and  fall  Campus  Beautification  Days.  This  week,  faculty  and  staff  fanned  out  across  campus  to  plant  shrubs  and  colorful  annuals  and  perennials  in  anticipation  of  the  College’s  Commencement  this  weekend.    This  year’s  class  will  be  the  last  to  graduate  from  Cabrini  College,  which  will  become  a  university  on  July  1,  2016.     Planting  colorful  annuals  at  the  front  entrance  of  the  College

was  the  task  of  this  team  of  faculty  and  staff.    Preparing  the  soil  and  digging  large  holes  to  receive  a  variety  of  shrubs  was  the  charge  of  the  crew  outside  the  Holy  Spirit  Library.
