Academy students will be enrolled in HONORS courses in English & Social Studies & encouraged to take Advanced Placement, Dual Enrollment or Gifted classes if they meet requirements. We will expose students to the highest academic rigor possible.
Maintain interest in the business & finance industry by actively participating in academy and FBLA activities (fieldtrips, competitions, projects & assignments)
Maintain a 2.0 GPA minimum in all classes- otherwise students are placed on academy probation-please note if this is not your child’s home school he/she is in danger of being sent to their home school if there isn’t marked improvement by the following grading period. A counselor referral is written after a student-teacher conference takes place and a mandatory parent probation meeting is held at the school. PARENTS MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A PARENT PORTAL ACCOUNT AND CHECK YOUR CHILD’S GRADE FREQUENTLY.
Good Effort & Conduct Grade in all classes! No disciplinary incidents-referrals will be written and made part of
the student’s MDCPS file.
