Chapter 21: I Can FeelIn this lesson, the children learned that everyone has feelings. Even Jesus, God’s Son, had feelings. The children expressed their feelings by making faces and dancing. The children were led to be sensitive to others’ feelings. Have your child hang the lamb card made in class on a doorknob and turn it to match his or her feelings.

Your Child� ree-year-olds are typically cheerful. � ey delight in the world, themselves, and others. � ey are becoming aware of feelings. Help your child identify his or her feelings by making comments such as “I see you are upset” or “You look worried.” Remind your child that when he or she has unpleasant feelings, God cares. God loves him or her on good days and bad days.

Finally, Benny Bunny had a beautiful garden in his yard. His wish had come true.

Benny Bunny lived next door to Betty Bunny. She had many pretty fl owers in her front yard.

“Mom,” said Benny Bunny one morning, “I wish we had pretty fl owers like those in Betty Bunny’s yard.”

“No problem,” said Mommy Bunny. “We will have to do some planting.”2 3


Every day, Benny Bunny watered the seeds. Soon green shoots began to peek through the dirt. The shoots grew tall and put out leaves and then buds and then fl owers!

Ask your child to show you the story about Benny Bunny, who worked to make his wish come true. Your child made a card expressing best wishes for someone. Help deliver it if necessary.

Your ChildPay close attention when your child expresses a wish. Help him or her distinguish between wishes that can really come true and those that are impossible. Your child’s wishes may reveal his or her fears.

Chapter 25: I Can LoveIn this lesson, the children talked about the greatest thing that God enables us to do: love.
