World Record - Peacock Ba� The mighty Peacock Bass of Brazil’s Amazon has become one of the most sought after freshwater fish species in the world. This colorful hard fighting fish, often weighing 20 lbs or better, is an aggressive feeder that will come out of 10 feet of water to smash huge, noisy top water lures with a vengeance. The world’s biggest peacock (28 lbs) has been caught with Capt. Peacock on Feb. 2010 by Bill Gassmann from Iowa. He landed this monster (see pic. on left) on his first peacock bass trip ever.
