Disaster Medical Information Suite (DMIS)

» DMIS is a suite of applications that are used to manage patient encounter information and track patient movement during an ESF8 response

» Integrating the CONNECT gateways into the DMIS solution allows patient treatment records to be available for providers throughout the patients continuum of care

» The Applications in DMIS are:

• Electronic Health Record

• Joint Patient Assessment Tracking System (JPATS)

• Health Information Repository

Demonstration:Exchanging Medical Records During Disasters

This demonstration will highlight a hurricane

scenario in which people in high risk areas are

evacuated to remote locations.

This scenario will record the initial patient

encounter at the high risk location and illustrate

the ability for medical teams to access the

patient’s record once relocated

to the evacuation site.
