You can start or join a meeting with a single tap and share content effortlessly. And since you can easily send meeting notes and content, you can communicate outcomes and action points.

With Surface Hub, participants can use inking and OneNote to annotate documents, take notes and capture all information that would have previously been written on a whiteboard. When a map, image, or diagram is reviewed, meeting participants can draw directly on the digital image using pen or fingertip.

Engaging and productive collaboration

This saves significant time trying to redraw arrows or notes, change diagrams, or type up text notes. It also avoids any confusion when trying to relate text notes correctly to an image or diagram.

Meetings start and finish more quickly. Notes can be captured during the meeting across multiple applications (including PowerPoint, Edge Browsers and other standard tools) and are instantly digitised so they can be saved via OneNote or emailed to participants directly from the Surface Hub.

That means no blurry photographs of whiteboards and no transcribing. And, to protect your privacy, notes and application history are automatically erased from the Surface Hub as you log out.

Microsoft commissioned Forrester Consulting to conduct a Total Economic Impact™ (TEI) study and examine the potential ROI businesses may realise by deploying Surface Hub. You can access a full copy of the report here.

Forrester’s interviews with five customers and subsequent financial analysis found that a composite organisation based on these interviewed organisations experienced the risk-adjusted ROI of 138% and a payback period of about 9 months.

Drive meeting productivity, reduce cost and increase sales

Key findings in the Forrester report included:

Productivity: the report identified pre- and post-meeting productivity improvements of 75% arising from reductions in pre-meeting set-up and connection time as well as post-meeting note preparation and distribution.

Cost Reduction: room equipment cost avoidance and print cost reduction amounted to a Year 1 saving equivalent of almost £6,000 in the Forrester model.

Sales Revenue Improvements: the report also modelled the impact of Surface Hub on sales revenues, projecting a risk-adjusted increase in revenues of almost £35,000.
