On behalf of the graduates, employers and currently enrolled students of the Marine Technology program I want to thank you for your support during this very difficult budget year.

We understand that the state faced a historic deficit and that difficult decisions on education funding had to be made. We are relieved that you recognized the importance and intrinsic value of our funding and how this funding is essential in providing at-sea training for our 148 students. It is this underway experience that gets our students jobs, and leads to productive careers in the marine scientific support community.
