Having been in the rental industry and specifically pump products, water solutions and dewatering for over 16 years, Michael has experienced all levels of business from on-site technician and installations, through to operations management and GM of well-established family owned businesses and managed a group of companies through extensive corporate transitions and acquisitions. With successful activities predominantly throughout Western Australia, Michael has an in-depth understanding of key regions throughout WA, operating environments and client expectations.

A strong and proven business acumen with outstanding performance in team leadership and management, Michael combines the theoretical concepts with practical experience which is critical in the pump and hire industry. The practical experience has been achieved throughout key mining projects throughout WA as well as high profile construction projects in Perth CBD.

Operating on a FIFO roster for over 6 years throughout the Pilbara region, Michael has a true understanding of the regional demands placed on both clients, employees and equipment. The ability to foresee potential complications or issues which may arise provides the key point of difference.

With a strong commitment and dedication to all aspects of business, Michael promotes and facilitates a high-performance culture delivering on promise.

Ben thrives in an environment where delivery of exceptional customer service is fundamental to business – delivering on and exceeding performance targets. SOLUTIONAMG was contacted initially to tender on a dry hire scope. However the AMG principle and innovative approach enabled the project EPCM to picture the full project vision of water limitations and capabilities. This collaborative approach provided all stakeholders with full project transparency in relation to all aspects of water issues and potential issues on site.

AMG provided consultation with initial geotechnical and hydrology investigations – prepared and executed the project dewatering management plan with our environmental partners. All done adhering to strict policy and environmental compliance.

Other key deliverables included:• Design and construction of bore extraction wells,

monitoring wells, drilling programs and 72 hour continuous sustainable yield tests

• Throughout the extraction program, water quality was monitored and reported with treatment contingencies in place should quality parameters be exceeded

• A seamless provision of construction water was achieved by means of a fully automated bore pump package, complete with monitoring equipment for leak detection and maintaining sufficient levels in all storage locations. All achieved with an AMG cloud based monitoring and actuator system

• Our on site support throughout the project for training, servicing and maintenance of all specialist equipment provided opportunities to reassess water and pumping requirements – complete system ownership by AMG Pump Rentals

CHALLENGES• Poor water quality and variable solids• Control of water with road interface• Remote location• Discharge & Environmental management• Limited personnel access and refuelling capabilities• Maintain strict water level variations within catchment

SOLUTIONConsultation consisted of a full site inspection and planning meetings with relevant government agencies to address environmental parameters.

Clearly refined scope with an innovative and dedicated approach to the overall system, energy efficiencies and minimal environmental impact. Achieved through the full collaboration of all stakeholders with all key deliverables identified and executed through the implementation of AMG solar pontoon system with fully integrated remote telemetry and monitoring on both asset and water catchment levels.

A standby diesel pump set was also installed and commissioned as a back up to heavy cloud conditions as well as additional redundancy for extraordinary weather events, requiring an immediate increase in discharge rates.

SOLUTIONCustomised and fully silenced pump package integrated within a “hitch and go” HD dual axle trailer system, consisting of inbuilt hose and component mounts and automated floatation control system. This unique offering is a first fully integrated trailer mounted package within the hire industry enabling immediate response and risk mitigation for all stakeholders.

AMG was able to utilise its’ industry experience and extensive supplier network incorporating leading global manufacturers to ensure all desired outcomes were exceeded and delivered within a demanding timeline. This was only achieved through the implementation of AMG Pump Rentals core value of Ownership.
