OUR EQUIPMENTBig Sky Cranes can supply a Crane-Safe certified, 100 Ton Liebherr and 20 Ton Franna for wet and dry hire. Larger crane sizes are available on request. High-speed Liebherr all-terrain mobile cranes are used all over the world. Long booms, enormous load capacities, short erection times and high comfort and safety standards make our machines flexible, economical and ensure that the needs of any application are met. All terrain cranes are suitable for varying applications, Including: bridge construction, concrete panel erection, industrial lifts, Plant maintenance, residential and industrial construction, wind farm, Turbine maintenance, and steel erection to name a few and have the ability to handle whatever terrain your Workplace or site consists of, ensuring efficient and productive Operation. Liebherr has a global service network. All-round service extends from competent advice and training to used cranes ensuring safe, efficient operation.

The 20 Ton Franna is the dominant crane in the Australian market. It is known for its versatility and multi-purpose use on plant sites, workshops and mines.

Lead crane operator, Scott Daniels, is skilled in operating a variety of cranes, from the 20T Franna to the 400T Liebherr, as well as the Tadano and Grove All Terrain and Rough Terrain cranes, the 35T Humma and the Sumitomo 275T and 90T Crawlers.

Our certified crane operators and riggers are available for wet hire, or they can be hired independently of our cranes.

- Modern, fully equipped mobile cranes with all ancillary lifting / rigging gear including spreader bars, workboxes and kibbles)

Meet the Owner/Directors MARSIA DANIELS - Director and Office Manager

Marsia is an Indigenous Australian woman from the York/Northam area of Western Australia. Together with husband Scott, Marsia is passionate about providing opportunities for Aboriginal people to improve their social and economic wellbeing.

An experienced and skilled office manager, Marsia is primarily responsible for Big Sky Cranes’ administrative functions. Professional, friendly and efficient, she quickly earns the trust and confidence of the company’s clients.

SCOTT DANIELS - Director and Lead Crane Operator

Scott is a certified crane operator who has been successfully planning and delivering heavy lifts in the mining and resources industry for over two decades.

Scott’s extensive experience includes working for Monadelphous & Joyce Cranes on the Karratha LNG Gas Plant, where he supervised all aspects of risk assessments, safe work method statements, integrated safe systems of work permits and lift studies. Scott has substantial experience in all facets of Mining, Construction and Operational Maintenance all throughout the state and Pilbara including Cape Lambert, Newman, Panawonica, Yarrie, Nimingarra, Marrandoo, finucane island, Parker Point and has also has operated Offshore tower cranes in the Cambridge Gulf for Kimberley Metals Group and worked on the Woodside Offshore North Rankin Complex, Goodwyn Alpha and Angel Platforms.

Now a Director and the lead crane operator for Big Sky Cranes, Scott draws on his wealth of experience to successfully manage the company’s operations and maintenance.

He is skilled in operating a variety of cranes, from the 20T Franna to the 400T Liebherr, as well as the Tadano and Grove All Terrain and Rough Terrain cranes, the 35T Humma and the Sumitomo 275T and 90T Crawler.
