INTRODUCTION

Nkomo Dlodlo is the principal surveyor at ND Surveying Services (NDSS). The

family owned survey practice was formed in late 2015 after over 15 years’ survey

experience gained across most Australian States and overseas.

Among other memberships and State level registrations, Nkomo is an endorsed

Surveying and Spatial Science Institute member for Engineering Surveying

Professional for Australia- Pacific (ES P-AP). This certification is a hallmark for the

civil/ engineering surveying profession that acknowledges a commitment to

professional excellence.

Nkomo is also a Registered Surveying Graduate with the Survey Board of

Queensland. We do own and operate efficiently Trimble and Leica survey

instruments in both GPS and robotic total stations.

Business focus

ND Surveying Services seeks to provide courteous, personal surveying services on

any of your projects. We are available to ensure the success of your projects from

pre planning through construction and to completion. Recent projects delivered have

been in mining, civil construction, roads/ rail and powerline distribution networks.

Our principal surveyor, Nkomo has current inductions and tickets for off-road 4WD

driving, BHP (WAIO), BMA (Standard 11QLD), Rio Tinto sites and the generic

construction industry awareness ‘Blue/ White’ cards.

AREAS OF SERVICE

Residential Subdivisions_ construction

ND Surveying Services surveyors have successfully delivered varied designs of low

rise residential buildings. Our speciality services provision includes;

Setting out for piling works

Detailed surveys to enable design works (pre design)

Constructability verification and set out of initial works

Construction of noise wall, retaining wall and/or other safety barriers.

Calculation and creation of survey set out data for all buildings, roads and

services models to required or workable formats

Civil construction_ large and small

ND Surveying Services personnel have vast experiences with both large and small

civil/ earthworks movements. We offer services on;

Roads/ Rail construction

Alignment type construction works have been handled previously by our principal

surveyor at ND Surveying Services in both rail and road construction. We are able to

provide our survey services in;

GNSS setting out for formation construction for required material

Setting out of higher precision finish layers using our robotic total stations

Surface Mining

OUR EQUIPMENT

At ND Surveying Services, we utilise the latest available surveying equipment in both

Trimble and Leica models. Our surveyors can utilise any model for the client’s survey

equipment if required.

To enable us to mobilise to site and deliver various projects efficiently, our surveyors

are equipped with the necessary GPS receivers, robotic total stations, digital level

and related ancillary equipment.
