Day 1: Depart the U.S. for Stockholm, Sweden Days 2-3: Stockholm Arrive in the Swedish capital today, with time to relax and an afternoon at leisure before tonight’s welcome dinner. A World Heritage site, Geirangerfjord measures 10 miles long and 960 feet deep. The next morning’s excursion on the Eagle’s Road promises abundant thrills as you negotiate 11 hairpin turns through mountain passes. Visit a local farm for lunch and then return to Geiranger for a relaxing afternoon. Enjoy a reception with an opportunity to view a private vintage car collection before dinner at your hotel tonight. Day 11: Geiranger and Bergen Experience more scenic overload on a full-day journey from Geiranger to Bergen. A series of ferry rides takes you across Geirang-erfjord, past tiny villages, tumbling waterfalls, and amid steep mountains plunging into the placid fjord waters. Days 12-13: Bergen and Lofthus During a morn-ing tour, discover the highlights of Bergen, Norway’s second largest city. See Trolhaugen, country home of composer Edvard Grieg; the lively fish market; the

colorful 14th-century Hanseatic merchants’ quarter of Bryggen (a World Heritage site); and 16th-century Ber-genhus fortress. The afternoon is free for independent exploration. The next morning travel by coach to Voss, where you board the Flam Railway for a thrilling hour-long excursion through 2,000-foot deep Flam Valley.

Along the way experience the grandeur of Naeroyf-jord, a fjord arm of stunning Sognefjord and another World Heritage site; and the Aurland fjords in the Flam Valley. In Myrdal change trains and continue on to Voss, where you take a ferry to Gudvangen. Continue by coach and ferry to Lofthus, nestled on Hardangerfjord in Norway’s western Fjord District. (2B,1L,1D)

Day 14: Lofthus Today visit one of Norway’s largest orchards, where you’ll share cake and coffee with the family who runs it. Then visit the salmon farm next door, tracing the salmon’s path from farm to tables around the world. (B,D)
