The afternoon session continues with the introduction of the surgical operating microscope and its impact on the successful treatment of calcified canals, re-treatments, immature pulp therapies and perforation repair, employing ultrasonic instrumentation and biocompatible materials. This is followed by a hands-on session (two hours) where the participants have the opportunity to utilize the instruments and techniques presented in the lecture. . Participants will be using extracted teeth (previously accessed and supplied by the participant), and are instructed to bring their loupes (if they presently use them). Location: Sheraton Parkway

Toronto North 600 Highway 7 East

Richmond Hill, ON

Speaker: Dr. Michael MoscovitchDDS, MSc.

Practical Perfection in Everyday Implant PracticeThe use of dental implants has become an increasingly accepted option in the replacement of missing teeth. Recent advances in surgical and prosthetic technologies have increased the long-term clinical success of dental implants.

Restorative options range from the replacement of a single tooth to the reconstruction of the fully edentulous arch. The clinical decisions in planning the appropriate implant support and the restorative design options to ensure success have become more complex in meeting the high expectations of function and esthetics.

This presentation will focus on the biological and biomechanical features, and clinical treatment options that will aid in obtaining long-term performance, esthetics and maintenance of implant-supported restorations.

To provide restorative dentists with a more in-depth and comprehensive understanding of implant restorations, including:

• Parameters for increasing the predictability of implant therapy

• Partially edentulous anterior and posterior restorations

• Screw-retained and cement-retained protocols

• Immediate and delayed loading protocols

• Esthetic and functional considerations
