THEATRE ACCESS

PROPS AND SCENERY ENTRANCE AND THEATRE ACCESS The props and scenery entrance is located at basement level at the back of the theatre (rue Richelieu). Two doors can beused. The main door is H 8’ x W 8’ (H 2,44 m x W 2,44 m). This door has a loading platform. (Can be adjusted atdifferent levels). Second door, H 7’ 8” x W 12’ (H 2,33 m x W 3,66 m) is located in the back of the bulding(A temporary loading dock of 36” can be installed, to park a 53’ trailer). Scenery can be moved to the stage using aservice lift that is H 9' x W 21' (2,74 m x 6,40 m) powered by four Spiralifts having a total capacity of 12,000 pounds.The service lift speed is limited to 4 feet/minute.

Note that tractor-trailer trucks over 40 feet long must take rue Richelieu the wrong way on this one-waystreet. It is, therefore, preferable that they arrive very early in the morning, before 7:00 am, to avoid beingblocked by traffic. A 72hour notice is required for this type of vehicule.

TELEVISION RECORDING AND BROADCASTING FACILITIES

Le Capitole de Québec is equipped with an integrated video connection system that greatly facilitates television record-ing and broadcasting operations. Fifthteen connection plates are placed strategically in the complex and connected to aplug-in box located under the stage, near the parking area reserved for mobile units. Also, one 100 amps 120/208 powersupply and one 200 amps 120/208 power supply, all equipped with Camlok sockets, are placed on the north wall of thedocking area less than 50 feet from the mobile unit parking area.
