hear His voice and no one can snatch them from His hand)

Matthew 7:22 (Jesus never knew the sinners who called Him Lord, those who claimed salvation but were not really saved)

the first place)?

How do I know I am saved?

1. Confess “Jesus is Lord,” and believe God raised Christ from the dead (Romans 10:9-10)

2. Get forgiven & cleansed of your sins by confessing them directly to Christ (not a priest) (1 John 1:9)

3. Show Godly sorrow and *repent (2 Cor. 7:10)

4. Bear ‘good’ fruit (Matt. 3:8, John 15:1-8), do the will of the Father (Matt. 7:21)

*Repent: turning away from sins and lifestyle of sin toward a lifestyle of holiness

How do I bear ‘good’ fruit? John 15:1-8

Jesus is the vine, we’re the branches Branches can’t bear fruit alone

You must abide in Christ! Christ must abide in you!

Remember, Christ is also the Word of God (John 1:1, 14). So meditate on scripture to get more of Christ!

BY NO MEANS! (Romans 6:1-2, 15) Can’t serve two masters (Matt. 6:24) Either slaves to sin or obedience (Romans

6:16-23) Live in sin and you’re the devil’s child (1

John 3:7-10) “Believers” go to hell for living in sin! (Matt.

7:21-23)

Deliberately, knowingly, & habitually practice sin

Such should not expect Heaven w/o repentance (Hebrews 10:26, 27)

Slip in Sin *Accidental, unintentional, non-habitual

act of sin Such have an advocate w/ the Father in

Christ (1 John 2:1)

*one should still repent/ask for forgiveness & cleansing in these cases

So… Can You Lose Your Salvation?

Maybe, but that’s not what’s most important

Instead: Trade worrying about LOSING YOUR

SALVATION for:1. Making sure you HAVE IT in the first

place, and2. Living a life to KEEP IT!
