Other important fair information: *Check in for exhibits & record books is Tuesday, August 30 from 2-6pm at the fairgrounds exhibit hall. This is a change from previous years! Check in is now on Tuesday! *Record books & project stories MUST accompany exhibits. Books may be typed or handwritten. *Check the 4-H website to make sure your entry fits the category BEFORE you bring it to the fair. *Alexandria Fair books will be available at the Extension Office. The fair book has a schedule of the entire fair weekend as well as other important fair information. Livestock Judging Member Participates in Top 12 Week

Congratulations to Kelly Cropenbaker who was elected to

participate in the Top 12 Week based on how she per-

formed at the State 4-H Livestock Judging Contest. Dur-

ing this week, Kelly, along with 11 others traveled through-

out the state of Kentucky and Indiana working toward mov-

ing onto the traveling eight this fall. Counties represented

were Boone, Caldwell, Campbell, Harrison, Logan, Spen-

cer, Taylor and Woodford. At the end of the week eight

individuals were selected to participate on the travelling

livestock judging team this fall. Kelly was elected to be a

part of this elite group. Congratulations to Kelly on all her

hard work and this accomplishment! We know she will

represent Campbell County and the state of Kentucky well!

State 4-H Communications Day

Three Campbell County 4-Hers proudly represented District 3 at the State 4-H Communications Day on July 9th at the University of Kentucky. Those that participated were:

Saddle Up Club Report

The Saddle Up Club met on July 14, 2016 at the

Alexandria Fair Grounds. The meeting was opened

by pledges led by Catherine Deaton and Nadia

Shurley. President Kassi Parker took attendance and

we welcomed Addison Stagner to the club.

Congratulations to all those that participated at

State.

Upcoming Horse Show July 17 (Contest only) at

the Saddle Club, and August 8 (Western/Mini

Payback) at the Alexandria Fair Grounds.

NKHN All Breed show will be July 30th begin-

ning at 9:30 AM.

Horse Camp Feedback meeting will be held after

the August 4th meeting.

August is the final meeting to declare you are

running for club officer. We will vote in Septem-

ber meeting.

Record Books are due August 30th from 2-6 pm

at the Alexandria Fair Grounds Exhibit Hall.

Please make sure you have them in if you want to

participate in the 4-H Day (Monday) at the Fair.

Our Club is working the Cowboy Mounted

Shooting, Thursday night, September 1, at the

Fair. Please see Mr. Barbian if you would like to

sign up.

Plans are being made for our Annual Banquet.

Plan now to attend, November 5th at the Exten-

sion Office.

Our next meeting is September 8, 2016 at the Fair

Grounds at 7:00 PM
