A B O U T C A M I L L E T H E B R A N D I believe that fashion is transformative; you can create whoever you want to be through what you wear. It's that moment when you put on a special piece and you feel like a new person. Or that time when you are confidently amazing, simply because you look amazing. Or you feel daring and adventurous, because you're trying a new style. And if you don't love your look? Perfect, you get to put on something else tomorrow morning, or this very evening, if you're feeling fancy. That's the beauty of fashion - it's never stagnant. You can change your personal style every day, or even twice a day if you wish. And jewelry is the easiest, and the most fun, way to do so. I know this because I've always styled insane (sometimes arguably too insane) amounts of necklaces on myself, piling on my favorite vintage scores with envious designer finds and thrift store strands, and I've discovered that a special piece takes jeans and a t-shirt from standard to stylish. Unique jewels never feel last season, so that's what I design: inspiring one-of-a-kind statement necklaces, handcrafted from vintage jewels found around the world. This is my first collection, each piece is named after an iconic woman, fearless in her personal style. From, Camille

A B O U T C A M I L L E T H E P E R S O N Camille Davis is an avid vintage collector who has worked in many areas of the fashion industry. She handled public relations for the Tribeca Film Festival, with a focus on documentaries highlighting fashion and the arts, structured social media and digital marketing at Barneys New York, and helped launch e-commerce for Harper’s Bazaar, where she conceptualized and managed the magazine’s personal styling program. She now advises luxury and consumer brands on strategic digital content, and can (thankfully) wear sneakers while doing so.

K A R E N I love opposites – different materials, textures and colors that play off of each other. I designed this piece as a study of contrasts, melding black and white enameled squares on brushed gold from the early 80s with iridescent clusters of 1970s beads.

G R A C E A crystal collar from an estate sale, a piercing blue from one of my favorite vintage boutiques, gloriously round blue beads, and a brooch discovered in my grandmother's jewelry box. I love pieces that are delicate yet chunky at the same time, and these beauties prove that there can never be too much sparkle.

J A N E This is the necklace that transforms bad moods. Vintage pearls, gold and jet are perennial wardrobe staples, and the sheer enormity of this piece makes it more runway than refined. I wove in the most beautiful blush leather – it reminds me of the laces on ballet slippers – to add a modern edge. It’s entirely appropriate to wear this piece every day.

N I C O L E Pearls, especially vintage ones from the last glam years of the 80s, don’t have to be formal. Neither do crystal-y, glitzy pieces from the early 50s. I designed this necklace with a shocking dash of neon, because...why not? Usually, more is more.

N E F E R T I T I This necklace began as an entirely black piece, but it was too tempting to enhance the dark tones with bursts of orange, and turquoise too (inspired by the strands upon strands I saw hanging in local shop windows in Capri). That is the wonderful thing about designing and styling: pieces take on a life of their own, and tell you what to do.

I R I S Sometimes, it’s just necessary to wear almost every color together. This is the very first piece I designed, and it contains everything I love – bright hues, texture, classic black and gold, and the most amazing 1940s rhinestones in the deepest red. It dresses up a white tee and makes a statement against a black dress. Or, better yet, pair with even more color.

A B I G A I L I bought this striking turquoise piece, from the early 80s, simply because it is so magnificent, I couldn’t not buy it. So, it sat lonely in my jewelry box, until I discovered this gold and amber pendant from one of my favorite Nolita vintage haunts. A little something was still missing though. I added a dark green 1950s broach and three strands of beads from the late 40s, and yes – Egyptian glam.

D A P H N E Fashion can be armor, to protect you from a bad day, to be the image you put out to the world. A good accessory can turn your look around, uplift any outfit. I designed everything silver: chains spanning decades, from substantial links to a sleek art deco piece. Light grey pearls add elegance to the edge - it’s all about the contrast.

L U I S A Winter is the best season for color, not summer. Wearing statement jewels, crazy patterns and bright tones on a dreary day makes me smile when I get dressed in the morning. I had no idea how to style this 1960s pearl choker, until I threw on the coolest lime green, a deep fuchsia and cobalt blue, and had an 'oh my god' moment.
