Camera Angles in ‘Coming Down The Mountain’
By Mary, Zara and Lizzie
• This is an aerial shot of the brothers room. This shot type has been used to show the difference between their lifestyles; Davids is dark and tidy whereas Bens is messy and colourful showing his child like nature.
• This is a long two shot, showing how David is the leader and is dominant in their relationship. Ben is following behind his brother, mimicking his actions.
• This is a close up of David like many others when he is shown looking frustrated and annoyed at Ben as he is a constant irritation to his as he isn’t a ‘normal’ brother like he wishes for.
• This is a close up of Ben on the bus, which shows his distress and fear at being alone. He’s seen clutching onto the seat to highlight his vulnerability.
• This is a three shot of David, Ben and an old man. David is looking across to the man as a way protecting Ben.
