Learning Labs We often have students attending the Wollongong University Learning Labs, which are designed for motivated and passionate learners who are performing excellently in their area of interest.

Learning Labs offer one or two day workshops during school holidays. Workshops are challenging, as well as fun.

Below is a photo of Imogen (3/4H) enjoying a recent workshop.

Both ‘Little Learning Labs’ (Years 1 and 2) and ‘Early Learning Labs’ (Years 3-6) will occur in the April school holidays.

To find out more and apply, please see the link below. Some of the workshops include:

Last week our homework policy and ‘opt-in / opt-out’ homework note was distributed. A reminder to families this note needs to be returned as soon as possible to the classroom teacher. Seesaw Seesaw is a simple way for teachers and students to record and share what is happening in the classroom. Seesaw gives students a place to document their learning, be creative and learn how to use technology. Each student gets their own journal and will add things to it, like photos, videos, drawing or notes.

Seesaw is also a great tool for communication between parents and their child’s teacher. If you have any difficulties logging into your child’s Seesaw account, please see your child’s teacher. Use of CPS School Hall On Tuesday and Wednesday evenings we have De Hall Dance Studio who provide ballroom dancing tuition. They cater for all occasions and all ages. Below are their contact details.

Sun Protection

It is always important to protect our skin from the sun, especially for young children. The best protection is to use all five strategies, including sunscreen. A reminder to families that you can apply sunscreen in the morning before your children go to school. Families can also pack a small container of sunscreen in their child’s bag, which students can apply before they go to lunch. Book Club Orders Book club orders are due by Friday 21 February. All orders should be made through the online LOOP ordering system.
