Our prestigious Granta Suite is the perfect setting for any fairytale wedding. Start with a Champagne red carpet reception in the secluded garden overlooking the river. Or, during the cooler seasons, enjoy your drinks reception in our Twist Bar. Then move into the Granta Suite where we can welcome up to 150 guests for a delicious wedding

breakfast. For the evening, the Granta Suite has a large dance floor, private bar which can cater for up to 190 guests and is ideal for a disco or live band. In the summer months the garden gazebo is the perfect setting for a beautiful outdoor ceremony; overlooking the River Cam it can be dressed in your choice of flowers or decorations.

The Main Event


CAYLEY SUITE:The Cayley Suite is ideal for the more intimate occasion. A light and airy room with fantastic river views opening onto a private garden, this suite can accommodate up to 36 guests for a wedding breakfast.

CAM SUITE:The Cam Suite holds up to 60 guests and has beautiful views of the river. With access to the gardens, it is ideal for a champagne reception and wedding breakfast.

The Granta, Cam, Cayley and the Gazebo are all licensed to hold civil wedding ceremonies, enabling you to hold your ceremony and reception all in one place.

If you do decide to hold your wedding ceremony at the hotel, you will need to co-ordinate the date and time with the hotel and liaise with the Superintendent Registrar at the Cambridge Registry Office.

Just a few minutes walk from Cambridge city centre, on the banks of the River Cam, the hotel provides the perfect location for exploring the famous colleges, chapels and winding medieval streets. A variety of shops, bars and restaurants can be found nearby.

The Perfect Location


FROM THE NORTHFrom the M1 and M6 take the A14 East until it becomes the M11 just north of Cambridge. Exit M11 southbound at junction 12 following the A603 (Barton Road) and signs for the city centre. At the first major roundabout you come to take the second exit (Fen Causeway, A1134) and when you reach the end of this road, take a left onto Trumpington Street. Mill Lane is the third road on your left.

FROM THE SOUTHFrom the M11 northbound, exit at Junction 11, following the A1309 (which becomes the A1134) towards the city centre. After about three miles at the first major junction you come to, continue straight ahead onto Trumpington Street. Mill Lane is the third road on your left. Alternately, exit the M11 northbound at Junction 12 and follow the directions to the left.

PROVISIONAL BOOKINGOnce a date and your requirements have been discussed and agreed with our Wedding Co-ordinator we can provisionally hold your event space for up to 14 days with no obligation.

BOOKING CONFIRMATIONWhen you have informed the hotel that you would like to secure the date, then an Event Agreement will be issued confirming all the details of your package. This is to be signed and returned to the hotel together with your deposit to confirm your wedding.

Group accommodation bookings will only be made once a signed agreement has been returned confirming the number of rooms and nights required.

TERMS OF PAYMENTA non refundable deposit of £1,000 will be required to confirm your wedding.

A further 25% interim payment is then due three months prior and the final balance is due one month prior to the day.

FINAL DETAILSYou will be invited to the hotel for your menu tasting approximately three months prior to the day. After this time you will also be asked to discuss your details with our Wedding Co-ordinator. A final details meeting will also be arranged closer to the date to meet with your Event Manager for the day.
