Cambodia Dental Mission Healing the Children
November 24, 2006 - December 5, 2006
The dental mission included the voluntary work of Adolph Bushell, Alexandra Germain, Bruce Byers, Catherine Madden, Chris Wagner, Dana Buffin, Eugene Kang, Greg Keiser, Lila Nikkhah, Lisa Rangel, Mary Rostami, Monika Suorn, Robert Arbuckle and Tamar Roodner.
During the five days of work, we were able to see 704 patients and teach hundreds more the value of taking care of their teeth. There was a great deal of time spent teaching, listening and learning about the children who lacked the dental services they desperately needed.
Through the help of our generous suppliers, we were able to care for these children. As always there is a great need for additional help. The giving of a toothbrush was like the gift of a lifetime for many of the children. To learn what they could do to keep their teeth healthy was priceless. They had the beauty in their faces, as I could not stop photographing them. If only we could have helped the many, many smiles I was able to capture with my camera?
Healing the Children creates many missions a year to countries where children are in great need of medical help. If, as you view this book, you think of any contacts you have with drug companies, medical supply houses, airlines or public relations people who would be willing to get involved, I would greatly appreciate the introduction.
