In the opening for this video, the majority of the shots used are close ups and longs shots, with some mid shots and medium close ups interspersed too. I have put all shots

with the same distance together.Mainly the shots used in this video are to emphasise the narrative.

These close ups can connote the little boys innocence. The close ups tend to be always focussed on him and his teddy bear, he seems pretty sad and lonely, which could be a representation of this song title ‘I´m Not Alone’.

Close ups are used in music videos of any genre, but its really clear that they’re used a lot in videos of our genre to sell the artist and create a sort of ‘bond’ between the artists and viewer. Close ups show emotion ten times more effectively than any other shot and the use of them in this video really does this.
