Loughborough Sports Development Centre – Loughborough University Oct 2016 – Present

Currently working alongside studies as a Social League Coordinator for the Badminton department within the Sports Development Centre at Loughborough University.

Social leagues are an independent entity from the University sport, targeting those who want to play sport but have not been selected to represent the University.

An Essential part of this role includes promoting the Social Leagues around the university. This has been done by communicating with various Departments’ and Halls of Residences’ Sports Secretaries to ensure the maximum amount of people are aware of the social league.

Other main roles for the role are coordinating the league to ensure that it runs smoothly and efficiently, contacting all competitors to ensure they are all aware of upcoming fixtures and

Zenopa Recruitment – High Wycombe Office June 11th – Sept 9th 2016

Summer work for a leading recruitment agency specialising in Scientific, Medical and Pharmaceutical recruitment.

Worked as a resourcer within the highly successful scientific department. Main daily tasks included contacting candidates about roles represented by Zenopa,

conducting proactive candidate searches online to fill new roles and registering new candidate details on the system for use by the Scientific and other departments to fill roles.

Was commended with a high level of confidence, ability to quickly acquire and retain information and excellent attitude towards work.

After finishing this work experience, was given excellent feedback, with complements on adaptability and showed a good attitude when asked to correct documents. Was also told that I was presentable and motivated.

Booker Tigers Badminton Club, High Wycombe Sept 2012 - Sept 2015

Coach young people (aged 7-17) badminton on Saturday mornings. Main responsibilities involved taking the warm-up, cool down and doing the demonstration

of different exercises, ensuring all sessions were fun and varied to maintain players’ focus. Significantly developed confidence with regards to talking in front of groups and

approaching players to correct/praise them.

Cooperative Food, Rose Avenue. Apr 2010 - Sept 2012

Weekend paper round for two years. Responsible for delivering up to 35 papers every Saturday and Sunday morning. Was reliable, never missing, or being late, for work. Temporarily covered a colleague’s paper round in addition to my own. Stopped this job to pursue badminton coaching.

Other Interests and Achievements

Currently play for Loughborough University Badminton team in the Athletics Union 2 nd and 3rd teams and Local League 2nd team.

Captain of Loughborough University Badminton 3rd Team. Have represented Buckinghamshire in badminton from the age of 12. Placed 3rd in the national Under 17 shires league team tournament in 2014.

Fundraising and Volunteering

Completed a sponsored cycle tour from High Wycombe to The Isle of Wight with two school friends during personal development week in May 2014.

It was a journey of 200+ miles in 4 days to raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust. Raised in excess of £4,500 and planned the route and accommodation ourselves. This greatly improved my organisation skills, being a key person in the creation of the

fundraising page and route planning for the journey.

Key Skills

Full, Clean UK Driving Licence, Highly proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Windows. Full knowledge of the Quartz System/Database. Highly proficient in the use of LinkedIn, CV Library, Reed and New Scientist for recruitment.
