Church Family,

As we enter a new year together here at TCBC, I’m going to bring

two messages celebraBng and challenging us in the biblical

concepts of church membership and aCendance.

In Acts 2, a er the early disciples had received the Holy Spirit and

a er 3,000 souls were added to the church; Their immediate

response was to devote themselves to one another.

And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the

fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. (Acts 2:42)

A direct evidence that we have received the Spirit and have truly

trusted Christ is that we devote ourselves to the local church, to

the family of God, and to the teaching of the Bible.

As we look to the Lord and pray for growth within our own local

church, we must understand that we will never grow beyond our

own faithfulness and commitment to the Body of Christ. It is my

prayer that as we look to the Scriptures to hear God’s Word

concerning membership and aCendance, we will be challenged to

be faithful ourselves; For the sake of our souls, for the sake of our

families.

I am excited to begin this new year with you and praise God for

what he’s going to do through his Word in our midst by his Spirit.

Pray for your church family. Pray for me as your pastor. Pray for

our families. Pray that we would be devoted afresh to God, his

Church, and his mission in the world.

Backpack Buddies

of Tabor City Elementary School

BackPack Buddies is designed to provide children from

low-income households with nutriBous kid friendly

groceries for the weekend when free school lunches and

breakfasts are not provided.

TCBC is collecBng pop top canned goods/kid friendly

containers such as spagheG, soup, Beanee Weenees,

mac and cheese, Ramen Noodles, etc.

We will also accept monetary donaBons.

A collecBon container is located in the hallway near

kitchen or you may drop your donaBons off at the

church office.

If you would like to renew your subscripBon or subscribe to

the Biblical Recorder, please let Tonya know by February 7th.

The cost will depend on how many subscribers we get. For the

group rate of $14.99 we need 5 or more subscribers. Under 5

subscribers will be $19.99.
