The significance of the
incorporation of CALL into
language learning and teaching
was noticed in 1983, during one of
the annual TESOL conferences
held in Toronto where more than
ten percent of presentations
concerned CALL and also some
software was demonstrated.
Advantages of CALL for Developing Reading Skills
Computers can present the text
in a variety of ways apart from a
plain printed one. The text can
be accompanied by animation
and sound which make both the
text and reading more
interesting.
The Role of Internet in Reading Comprehension Skills
The Internet is based on
written language, it requires
well developed reading skills to
be “surfed through”

Further student will interpret the acquired knowledge by producing a brief text based on asked descriptive question.

Formative assessment plan is used as students receive delayed feedback after submitting responses of asked objective and subjective questions.
