I NTRODUCTION

Giorgio Armani S.p.A. (hereinafter the “Implementing Party”) is organising Armani/Laboratorio, an intensive cinematographic training laboratory to be held at Armani/Silos.

Armani/Laboratorio is inspired by the belief that cinema, like fashion, is a collective work and as such must be taught at high levels of specialisation and learned organically with step by step knowledge of all the stages that make it possible.

Armani/Laboratorio is dedicated to talented young people, who are in the process of specialising, and is realised thanks to the cooperation of well-known professionals in the world of cinema and the performing arts in their capacity as mentors.

Armani/Laboratorio lasts for a total of 10 consecutive days during the period from December 2017 to March 2017 and demonstrates its commitment to training by setting itself the specific goal of producing a short film on themes linked to the forty-year experience of Giorgio Armani and his business.

Armani/Laboratorio is a free training laboratory for everyone participating.

A RT. 1

Armani/Laboratorio is launching a public call for applications lasting 62 days (from 31 August 2017 to 31 October 2017) aimed at young people residing in Italy who have finished school, aged between 20 and 35 years, who have a basic knowledge of the digital/analogue tools relating to their specific area of interest and wish to specialise or are following a path of specialisation in one of the professional sectors of cinema covered by the laboratory. Selection is not based on cvs alone.

Armani/Laboratorio will select eight applicants, one per discipline. Each applicant may apply for one discipline only. The selection disciplines covered are screenplay, direction, costume, production design, photography, make-up, hair and staging. One applicant is selected for each discipline and, during Laboratorio, they will be monitored, in person and remotely, by their own mentor, who is an expert in that field.

Each applicant will have to produce material to represent the theme in their selected discipline (according to the criteria set out in this call for applications). Each applicant will be able

to express their preference for a single discipline and upload a single creative proposal.The instructions for each discipline are set out below:

For all disciplines, a CV and submission of the application must be uploaded using the entry form, each file being no more than 20mb.

The material may only be sent by completing the appropriate form at www.armanisilos.com in the section dedicated to Armani/Laboratorio. The material may be uploaded using:- cv: pdf file- Submission of the application: pdf file- Participation file and video may only be in the formats specified in Article 3.

Applications must be sent by and no later than the deadline in the call for applications set at 11:59 pm on 31 October 2017. The person uploading the material shall bear responsibility for the content of the material uploaded and transmitted.

The selection process plans the identification of 3 applicants per discipline from whom the participant in Armani/Laboratorio will be selected for that discipline. The final selection of applicants will be made by the mentors of Armani/Laboratorio, a number of representatives of the maison Armani and/or important persons identified by the staff of Armani/Laboratorio, following the final assessment of the material sent by the applicants in accordance with the aforementioned terms and preliminary interviews with the

applicants themselves.

Should a final applicant selected as the sole participant in their specific discipline withdraw their application, one of the other two finalists excluded from final selection shall replace them according to the choice of the mentor for that discipline.

Art. 13 of Leg. Dec. no. 196/2003Interested parties: applicants for the Armani/Laboratorio initiative. Giorgio Armani S.p.A. in its capacity as Data Controller, hereby informs you that the legislation cited provides for the protection of persons with respect to personal data processing and that this processing shall be characterised by the principles of correctness, lawfulness, transparency and protection of the confidentiality and rights of the interested party. It should be noted that the personal data provided to us or obtained within the framework of Armani/Laboratorio may be the object of processing as per Art. 4 of Leg. Dec. no. 196/2003. “Personal datum” means any information relating to a physical person identified or identifiable, including indirectly, by reference to any other information, including a personal identification number. For the purposes of data processing, Giorgio Armani S.p.A., in the capacity of Data Controller (“Controller”), may become cognisant of the following types of data: “Identification Data” mean the personal data defined by Art. 4 paragraph 1

clause c) (e.g. personal details, data relating to family, data relating to education and employment and photographs etc.).“Sensitive Data” mean the personal data defined by Art. 4 paragraph 1 clause d) and Art. 26 of Leg. Dec. no. 196/2003 and in particular: health, sexuality and racial and ethnic origin (that can be obtained from the CV sent). Interested parties are asked not to send any sensitive data to the Controller; however, should these data be transmitted anyway, the Controller may request the relative approval or destroy them, as it sees fit. The purpose of the “processing” to which the data may be subject now and in the future relates to the specific activities for the fulfilment of the selection requirements for Armani/Laboratorio and the publication of the activities realised at the end thereof.The processing of the data serving for the fulfilment of these obligations is necessary and their delivery is mandatory for the purposes indicated above. Any failure to communicate or incorrect communication of any of the mandatory information may lead to the inability to participate in the selection process. Data shall be processed in hardcopy and using electronic or, in any case, automated equipment in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the aforesaid legislation. The processing of data already available and that may be provided by you in future shall be carried out in each case in accordance with the minimum security measures using means that avoid the risk of their loss or destruction including by accident, unauthorised access or processing that is not permitted in accordance with the terms referred to in Articles 11 and 31 et seq of the Privacy Code and via the adoption of the minimum

security measures provided for in the technical regulations (Appendix B). The data shall be stored at the premises of the Controller and at external companies providing outsourcing services duly named “External Data Processors”. The data provided by you shall be stored for the time required for the selection process as well as the time required for the publication and disclosure of Armani/Laboratorio. In the event of a positive outcome, your data shall be stored for the time required for the publication and disclosure of Armani/Laboratorio. The personal data provided by you shall be processed by staff duly authorised by the Controller (such as the events and marketing office, Armani/Silos, Armani/Laboratorio and press office) and may be communicated to external entities that carry out the processing required on behalf of the company for the fulfilment of the above-mentioned aims. The list of such Companies, duly updated, is held at our head office and is available for you to view. Following the positive outcome of the selection process, the ID data of the person selected, including their image, shall be published, communicated, distributed and/or disseminated throughout the world on any medium and support, physical and electronic, including the Internet, the social network channels of the Controller and other means of communication. The use of the ID data, including images, shall take place within contexts that are not detrimental to the personal dignity and decorum of the interested party. Use of the data and image is not subject to any payment. Pursuant to said Decree, the entity identified as “Controller” and responsible for decisions regarding the purposes and

methods of the data processing is Giorgio Armani S.p.A. - via Borgonuovo n.11 - 20121 Milan in the person of its Legal representative pro tempore. The Controller has appointed the Legal representative pro tempore (their name is available by writing to [email protected]). It is possible to request a complete list of all the data processors appointed from the Representative and to obtain the cancellation, communication, updating, correction and supplementation of your personal data as well as, in general, to exercise all rights provided for by Art. 7 of the Privacy Code, a copy of which is provided below, by writing to our head office or emailing:

Armani/Laboratorio is divided into eight main training units, one per discipline, and provides for theoretical and practical activities on a daily basis, led by a professional who is an expert in each discipline.

The main aim of Armani/Laboratorio is training via the practical production of a short film that may be used for promotional purposes for the business and that is the practical end goal at which all classes of Armani/Laboratorio are aimed. The short film will be signed by students and teachers. Shooting will take place, in accordance with the subject of the short film, within the spaces of Giorgio Armani S.p.A.’s Milan complex.

Every student will be bound to attend the classes mandatorily and to participate at every meeting scheduled by Armani/Laboratorio, whether for training or promotional purposes.

Armani/Laboratorio will be held in the rooms of the Armani/Silos exhibition space at via Bergognone 40 in Milan and possibly in the spaces belonging to Giorgio Armani S.p.a.’s Milan complex.

Throughout the course of Laboratorio, Armani/Laboratorio guarantees half board and lodging for all participants.

Furthermore, Armani/Laboratorio will pay travel costs to and from the Armani/Laboratorio site. Applicants undertake to submit new and original work that does not infringe the rights of third parties. Giorgio Armani S.p.A. will be held harmless from every liability, dispute or claim of third parties in this regard. All material produced in Armani/Laboratorio will be the intellectual and artistic property of Armani/Laboratorio and will be used for the following purposes, as regulated by the appropriate, separate agreement: - Armani social networks- Armani office and store screens - Armani.com website and www.armanisilos.com - projection at Armani / Silos- Armani database promotional newsletters- paid digital advertising (social and third-party sites)- digital editorials (third-party sites)
