we walk and we walk and we walk forever every day we get lost together

then we walk and we walk and we walk some more we never get tired, our legs never get sore

!the day is growing darker, the wind is blowing cold

we don’t care abut the weather as long as we’re lost together we’ve been lost with each other many times before

when they yell at us for being lost we get lost some more !

they scream and they shout but they have no clue they don’t know i love getting lost with you

while they nag and they lecture us, you give me a smile i know what it means, you wanna get lost for a while

!so when the yelling is over we sneak out the door

you and me, we’ve done this before getting lost is our most favourite thing

it is now and has always been !

we love getting lost in our own little bubble just you and me in the world, no worries, no trouble

one day we’ll get lost and we’ll never be found they’ll say that we went to the water and drowned

!what they won’t know is that we’ve found our place

our own little vacuum in space, far away from the human race there you’ll ask me if we finally got away

there’s a squeak in the forest laughing where a vagabond walks his silent path he deeply ponders the fragility of leaves

while the rest of mankind sleeps and me, i’m a million miles away

chasing the bright sunrise highway !

outside the beggar's torn down door  a blue moondog barking

his nervous owner on a boat somewhere looking for a mermaid with an oar

if he’ll be saved i cannot say i’m busy chasing the paved sunrise highway

!there’s a mystical force under the clouds entwining both the drunk and the vain

and the businessman wonders where santa’s gone but failing to see the big, green, exploding dynamite tree

personally i’m sick of modern decay instead i’m chasing the simpler sunrise highway

!there’s a foggy window in the righteous house

and outside crowds are roaming if you look through it, you can see

kids yelling poems at the clouds and bohemians crying desperately i tell them i have no time to play

but they’re welcome to come chasing the empty sunrise highway !

the vagabond stops pondering as the moondog loses its bark and with the drunk, the vain, the bohemian losers

climb onboard the ghost of the past there the businessman waves their victory flag

telling me we won another day they all want to spend it with me, chasing down my sunrise highway

!As i’m leaving you i softly hum in the dark

while the world around me starts to lose its spark my weary body, my empty head

the dark burns its shadow over all i’ve ever said sitting here quietly i start to disintegrate

my body becomes a dust cloud ready to evaporate my memories will return to the place from which they came

repeat themselves and eternally look the same !

!i’m still collecting the remains of my woman

i have the hair, one hand and a breast fearing every day what life will be like

until i find the rest !!
