    Call for Phuture 2016 Article Contributions

    Phutureis an educational/scientific publication of the International Pharmaceutical Students

    Federation (IPSF), which is published annually during the IPSF World Congress. The goal of Phutureis

    to disseminate knowledge and promote student and young professional research initiatives.

    We kindly invite students, recent graduates, academicians and professionals to contribute originalresearch manuscripts, research abstracts, review articles, case studies, or

    perspectives/opinions/commentaries on any topic for this years publication in August.

    Contributors may also submit an article directly related to the special emphasis of this issue of

    Phuture: Fighting counterfeit drugs: How far have we come?

    To combat the problems of counterfeit medications, IPSF started ACDC in 2008 and also partnered

    with Fight the Fakesin 2014. In this edition we would like to gain insights from current and future

    pharmaceutical professionals on how far we have reached in educating fellow pharmaceutical

    professionals, and by what ways can we expand our reach. More specifically consider addressing

    one or more of the following topics:

    1.

    An inside look on the statistics of the counterfeit medicines in your country and the

    measurements taken to prevent them.

    2. What are the various options to reach the general public and educate on counterfeit

    medicines?

    3.

    A detailed proposal of strategies to collaborate with local and international organizations to

    effectively fight counterfeit medicines.

    4. A critical review of the policies, strategies, or monitoring agencies in place to fight

    counterfeit medicines and what their immediate/ long-term goals are (economic, structural,

    and target impact).

    5.

    An analysis of the current technologies used to detect counterfeit medicines.

    Submission: To submit your research manuscripts/abstracts/review articles/case studies or to

    provide insight into this years special emphasis on counterfeit drugs, please submit your article to

    [email protected]. The deadline for submitting articles is 20th July, 2016 23:59 (GMT +0).

    Selection Process: Articles will be accepted and reviewed on a rolling basis. Therefore, please

    consider submitting your articles early. After we have accepted the maximum number of articles,

    any remaining submissions will be considered for the following issue.
