CUnical Abstract:

Case No. 3 - October 2002

Accession #29108

After 10 years of noticing a small nodule in his right neck, this 54 year old male reported a l year history of slow enlargement of that mass. He denied weight loss. Physical exam showed a. minimally mobile, non-tender mass at the angle of the jaw in the right neck.

Gro..s Pathology: The 38 gram specimen was 7.0 x 4.5 x 4.0 and had a slightly gritty, yellow-tan lobular cut

surface.

Contributor: Mary Beth Sbwayder, M.D. Case No. 4 - October 2002 Pasadena, CA

Tissue from: Submandibular gland Accession #29106

Clinical Abstract: This 61-year-old male had noticed .an immobile, finn, tender right neck mass for over a month.

Gross Pathology: The ovoid 4.0 x 3.0 x 2.2 em specimen had numerous white-tan confluent nodules that formed

a central mass measuring 2.2 em in diameter.

Tissue from: Right mandibular/Parotid region

Clinical Abstract:

Case No. 5 - October 2002

Accession #29438

Following resection of a right facial mass, this 9-year-old male developed a recurrence. Tissue from the region of the right mandible was debulked.

Gross Pathology: The 89 gram, 12.0 x 8.0 x 4.0 em aggregate consisted of pink-tan soft tissue fragments with a

stringy, worm-like appearance.
