Low Emissions Burners & Advanced Controls

XPO™ Burner

Highly-efficient natural gas or LPG burner for fire tube boiler or solution heating applications. Single digit NOx emissions with low excess air;

turndown ratios of 5:1. Available in packaged versions with a combustion air blower or

can be paired with an external blower.

M-PAKT® / OPTIMA® Burner

Extremely clean, reliable heat with ultra low NOx and CO on a variety of fuels. Large capacity heat releases with a compact, robust flame geometry. Configurable for dryers, air heaters, ovens, kilns, process heaters, paper machines, and more.

CROSSFIRE® Burner

Nozzle mixing line burner for use with low pressure natural gas. High firing

capacity up to 2,250,000 Btu/hr/ft with extremely low emissions of NOx and CO.

SMARTLINK® MRV Intelligent MICRO-RATIO® Valve Series

Electronically links several actuators to user’s process controller to optimize fuel efficiency and meet stringent emissions standards. 0.1 degree accuracy through 800 adjustment points. Sizes from 1” to 16”; cast iron, carbon steel and brass body options.

SMARTFIRE® Intelligent Combustion Control System

SMARTFIRE® is a turnkey, intelligent, mass flow air/fuel ratio control system for use with Maxon’s burners,

especially those designed for low emission applications. SMARTFIRE® minimizes emissions, maximizes

efficiency, and simplifies burner operation.

SMARTLINK® METERDigital Self-checking Thermal Mass Flow Meter

Offering highly-accurate, repeatable measurement for fuel, air and combustion streams. Displays instantaneous standard rate and totalized flow without calculations or moving parts. FM approved for Hazardous Locations, and certified Class I, Division 2 Groups A,B,C, and D and Class I, Zone 2, Group IIC.

ENGINEERED SYSTEMS Fuel Trains and Controls

To reduce installation labor, pre-piped gas trains are available in .75” to 8” sizes, each engineered for efficiency and safety.

Can be specified to meet custom requirements. Available to meet the latest fuel gas piping codes and are pressure-tested

before shipment. For even greater efficiency,consider a complete Maxon Combustion System.

A word about SCAQMD Rules 1146 and 11471146.1: Maxon’s new XPO burner can meet the stringent air quality requirements for boiler and fire-tube applications, with single digit NOx capabilities (corrected to 3% O2) without the need for a maintenance-intensive flue gas recirculation set-up and without sacrificing efficiency. Please contact your Maxon representative for details. 1147: If your plant has combustion equipment that is 10 years old or older, it may be time for an upgrade. Not only can you ensure compliance with Rule 1147, but modernizing controls can also enhance process efficiency.
