reach our budget goal for 2015. If you would like to use
contribution envelopes during 2015, boxes of envelopes
are available in the foyer, and a commitment card is
included in each box. For all others, commitment cards
are available at Pleasant Ridge Central. Drop your

during a Sunday morning or evening service.

always extra expenses: For November, Arlington Hearts

additional side dishes, etc. for a total of $8,068. We
received $3,890 from three churches to help with the
turkey expense. In December we are purchasing
turkeys, chickens, and hams from the food bank for an
additional charge in our food cost. Thanks for all
involved in the financial giving and the hard work to
receive and distribute food and clothing this year.

Equipping/Community Ministry
Wednesday Night — Spring 2015 It would not be unfair to say that most Christians' knowledge of church history is sketchy at best, and non-existent at worse. So what? What real advantage is there in knowing the often ugly and unflattering saga of the people who have called themselves Christians over the past two millennia? Well, for one thing, a basic knowledge of the history of the Christian faith can give us a better perspective on the church today. Many of the cultural and doctrinal battles being fought today are not really all that new! For another, a "bird's eye view" of Christian history reinforces our conviction that God's program in Christ will reign triumphant. Join Mike Monroe beginning Wednesday, January 7, in room NW-3/5 from 7:00-7:45 p.m. to study Church History. The study will take a chronological approach to church history: the ancient church, the medieval church, the Reformation, and the church in the modern age. Spiritual Growth Journey Why is life so unfair? Does anybody notice what I do? When I’m gone, will anybody notice? These are questions that many otherwise emotionally healthy people find themselves facing at some point in our lives. Occasionally we find ourselves hurt and jaded by cruel and heartless circumstances of life. And we’re led to wonder why life sometimes seems so unfair and even pointless. The Spiritual Growth Journey is offering a 6-week series called, “Understanding Your Purpose When Life Seems Pointless.” Over six weeks, Tim Shelfer would like to explore with you some of these questions. He would like to talk with you about where the real meaning in our lives lies. Join Tim on Sunday, January 18, in room A-3 from 9:30-10:15 a.m. during Bible class.
