What’s inside?

Hello MWS! As your new President I would like to say ‘Thank You” for your support and congratulations to the new Board Members. I am looking forward to the wonderful year ahead. In February we have a paint our/ “Field trip” to Pigeon Key and we’ll get to know some of the Florida Keys Watercolor Society Members. In March, Fealing Lin will teach us techniques to create fabulous portraits and figures. Also in March, the selection of our 41st Annual Spring Exhibition occurs. Our Beginner Watercolor Classes are still going strong with new instructors each month. In the summer we are planning another Signature Members. It’s going to be a busy year.

Not too busy to paint though. Painting makes us work, but keeps us going at the same time. Paint whenever you have a free moment. I sometimes paint in my mind, it helps to work out possible problems on current paintings or create new ones. Not only do we paint for ourselves, we often paint for others. These paintings ca be given as special gifts that the recipient will truly treasure, I gave this painting “Plumeria Bouquet” an endlessly blooming bouquet, to my nephew and his new bride for their recent wedding and they were thrilled!
