Calendar OF EVENTS ake a trolley down the avenue to Place St. Charles Annual Holiday Arts & Crafts Fair on Thursday and Friday, December 6th and 7th, from 11 a.m. until 3 p.m., located on the first floor in the lobby around the fountain. OUR FAVORITE LOCAL ARTISTS AND THEIR CRAFTS INCLUDE: SHAUN ALEMAN The food, music, local festivals and catch phrases of South Louisiana are subject matter for native, Shaun Aleman. Full of New Orleans’ unique heritage and culture, original paintings in watercolor and acrylic with handmade frames, are fashioned out of reclaimed wood from New Orleans houses. The collection also includes notecards and prints. AMITA SAUNDARYA Bringing natural skincare into the realm of spirit, Amita Saundarya products are handmade with love and infused with Sanskrit mantras to energetically raise vibration. They are made with the highest quality plant-based ingredients and purest essential oils. Their face care is bottled in Miron Violet glass, which is specially designed to help retain the life force of natural ingredients. ART WITH GRATITUDE Creator Celeste McCann offers hand- painted whimsical images on rustic wood and slate. She signs each piece “with gratitude,” a small personal prayer in thanks for her talent. BAYOU SOME BEADS Every piece of jewelry and glassware is carefully hand made in Donna Hendley’s Metairie studio. Kiln-formed glass pieces made from Bullseye Glass into glass jewelry bracelets, rosaries, nightlights, earrings and pendants. All silver jewelry is sterling silver. JOCELYN BURRELL Visiting from New York, designer Jocelyn Burrell is famous for wonderfully handworked bronze and sterling hammered jewelry and holiday ornaments that are haute couture for any Christmas tree! CHERYL’S CORNERSTONES JEWELRY Designer Cheryl Hill crafts one-of-a-kind statement necklace and earrings sets. Vibrant, bold designs that are as timeless as they are striking. OUR FAVORITE LOCAL ARTISTS AND THEIR CRAFTS INCLUDE:

GAM’S DESIGNS Seamstress Fran Pechon creates beautiful baby clothing and gifts. Her one-of-a-kind items include bubbles, rompers, and dresses from newborn to size 4. An assortment of shower gifts are readily available. All garments are 100% cotton.

JEM BEAD ART JEMBeadArt creates Mardi Gras bead art mosaics out of recycled materials. The frames are repurposed and the beads have been caught in parades.

JOSHUA LEE STUDIO Focusing his work on “the Louisiana you remember,” prolific photographer Joshua Lee takes 100 photographs everyday in and around New Orleans. His website statement sums up his work “Whether you live here, left here, loved here, can’t stay away from here or are too sensible to live in a swamp, we have captured the New Orleans you remember.”

KIKI HUSTON FINE JEwELRY Fabricating all her designs in sterling silver and using kiln-fired enamel to give color, artist Kiki Huston’s work is both simple and delicate.
