will provide a canopy and easel for hundreds of hand-stitched masterpieces displayed in the Berthoud Outdoor Quilt Show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A stunning array of quilts will be displayed at this free event that attracts quilter lov-ers from across the region. Noted quilt historian Jeananne Wright will also be on hand at the Laughing Ladies Quilt shop to appraise quilts at a nominal charge. “Make History in Berthoud” on Saturday, June 15, when the Berthoud Historic Home Tour adds an Antique Trac-tor Show & Parade to its event and joins forces with the Berthoud Outdoor Quilt Show to celebrate the heritage of Ber-thoud and the Little Thompson Valley.

Berthoud’s old town neighborhoods provide the backdrop for the 15th annual Berthoud Historic Home Tour. Hosted by the Berthoud Historical Society, the self-guided tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers an opportunity to explore four homes that exude Berthoud’s small town charm. An added feature of this year’s is an Antique Tractor Show & Parade that will take place in the 700 block of Turner Avenue two blocks north of Berthoud’s centrally-located Fickel Park. The tractor show gets underway at 10 a.m. with a parade of tractors past the four homes featured on the tour. The Berthoud High School Volleyball Team is hosting a summer tournament at BHS on Saturday, June 15. The tourna-ment will consist of women’s six’s teams and starts at 9 a.m. This is a fundraiser

and Fort Collins Police Services are look-ing for compassionate and caring people to serve as victim advocates. Victim advocates provide a valuable service for the community by assisting victims and protecting their rights.

In addition to needed emotional sup-port and crisis intervention, advocates offer information about the criminal justice system and the resources available to the victim. Advocates often act as a liaison between the victim and the officers investigating an incident. Services are provided to victims 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Advocates are asked to work four to six 12-hour shifts per month and attend a meeting each month. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age, complete 40-50 hours of training and successfully complete the ap-plication process which includes a criminal history check and a background investiga-tion. The Larimer County Dive Rescue Team is looking for qualified, professional candidates who are highly motivated and are eager to serve the community in the challenges of the aquatic environment. Applicant must have an interest in public service and ability to function as part of a highly-skilled team of rescue profession-als.

We are looking for individuals with any of the following experience: water rescue, dive rescue, commercial divers, military divers, recreational SCUBA, EMT, para-medic, law enforcement, or simply people with a big heart for helping people in their time of need.

Larimer County Dive Rescue is a volunteer rescue organization dedicated to providing emergency water services for the citizens of Larimer County — and state wide upon request. Our organiza-tion is one charged with a mission of water rescue (surface and sub-surface) for Larimer County, Colorado. We have been in existence since 1972. The current level of training and expertise within our team is on the same level or higher than many paid organizations.

In addition to our life safety and rescue mission, we perform underwater criminal investigation, evidence search and victim and vehicle recovery for the law enforce-ment agencies within our response area.

Save the date — 1st Annual Ber-thoud Open golf tournament will be held on Friday, Sept. 13 at Highland Meadows Golf Course in Windsor. The tournament is sponsored by the Berthoud Area Cham-ber of Commerce and a college scholar-ship will be awarded to a Berthoud High School student. The tournament is open to everyone.
