Berthoud’s old town neighborhoods provide the backdrop for the 15th annual Berthoud Historic Home Tour. Hosted by the Berthoud Historical Society, the self- guided tour runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and offers an opportunity to explore four homes that exude Berthoud’s small town charm. Victim advocates provide a valuable service for the community by assisting victims and protecting their rights. In addition to needed emotional sup- port and crisis intervention, advocates offer information about the criminal justice system and the resources available to the victim. Advocates often act as a liaison between the victim and the officers investigating an incident. Services are provided to victims 24 hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year. Advocates are asked to work four to six 12-hour shifts per month and attend a meeting each month.
