International Year of Light and Light-based TechnologiesBy proclaiming 2015 the International Year of Light, the United Nations has recognised the importance of light-based technologies in addressing the challenges of sustainable development, education, agriculture and health. Many applications of light have changed society, and will continue to do so.Curtin Interior Architecture students have recently applied their knowledge of lighting design and theory to create solar powered lighting solutions for people living homeless in Perth.
