Calculating FTEAnnual Leave - Allocation per Roster• 4.86 FTE x 5 wks allocated annual leave per yr = 24 wks • 24 wks / 13 roster cycles = 1.8 wks per roster.• Answer:- Allocate 1 to 2 weeks of annual leave per roster will meet the Annual leave entitlement of the CC Unit roster. Or every 12 wks allocate 4-6 weeks of annual leave for the Care Coordinator

Calculating FTEComparing Roster FTE against Staff Required

• 4.86 FTE represents the full complement of staff required to write a roster taking in account replacement of leave such as annual and sick.

• To identify how many staff you have on roster to cover the 4.86 staff is as follows:

• 14 days represents a fortnight and within that fortnight you will work 10 days. Eg 5 Days Mon to Fri over 2 weeks = 10 shifts. We are going to count this ten shifts as increments of ‘1’

• Eg 0.1+0.1+0.1+0.1+0.1+0.1+0.1+0.1+0.1+0.1= 1
