Construction and Completion of the Park
1. When final design is approved, the construction phases will start.
2. Upon satisfaction and completion of the park, we will dedicate it to the City in commemorating the Chinese immigrants’ contributions to the City of San Luis Obispo.
Chinese Garden SLO
1. A California non-profit organization since 1992, is the main sponsor of this Proposed Park.
2. Warren Sinsheimer, a renown attorney, helped to obtain the federal tax exempt status for the organization.
Chinese SLO (cont.)
3. Jeanne Potter, president of the Chamber of Commerce is overseeing the financial aspects of the project.
4. Various distinguished and dedicated professionals are serving on Board or as working Directors.
The Capital Outlay
1. All professional works are probono.
2. Lead contractor(s) are licensed architectural or landscape architectural contractors.
The Capital Outlay (cont.)
3. The necessary capital to finish the job is guaranteed.
4. All donations including materials and labors are gladly accepted with acknowledgements.
Naming of the Park
1. Following Chinese custom, we explored series names relating to the ceramic mural Love and Double Joy Ai Le 愛樂 that was installed on 990 Palm in 1997.
2. We would call it the Park of Love and Intelligence Ai Li 愛 理園 Yuan.
