• ANALYTICAL CHEMISTRY has

developed into a JOURNAL that is of interest to fellow chemists in the other disciplines of chemistry. Among its subscribers and other readers, it numbers many who would not consider themselves primarily as analytical chemists.

• The biennial REVIEWS alone are worth the subscription price of the JOURNAL. I doubt whether anyone has the energy, time, and interest to read all the review papers in each issue. In congratulating Dr. Hallett and the present editor and his staff and other coworkers on the golden anniversary of our JOURNAL, I express the wish and confidence that its future will continue to reflect the broad scientific and social importance of analytical chemistry.

Continuing a world famous tradition with ...the NEW Cahn 2000

The new Cahn 2000 incorporates the latest technology to bring you the most stable and reliable recording

balance available today. The Cahn 2000 features all solid state electronics, sensitivity to 50 nanograms, capacity to 2.5 grams and a highly accurate digital thumbwheel

electronic tare system. The Cahn 2000 is available with the largest selection of recording balance accessories for

use in virtually any application where sensitive mass or force changes need to be measured. After a

demonstration, we are sure that you will agree that the new Cahn 2000 continues the heritage established

by the world famous Cahn RG and Cahn 1000 Recording Balances.
