Good Caddy CommunicationPoints
1. Find out Golfer’s name before you meet them.
2. Look the golfer in the eyes when speaking to him.
3. Show positive body language
4. Speak clearly enough so the golfer can hear you.
5. Be ready to help the golfer with whatever he/she needs.
6. If you are caddying for a foreigner, speak slowly if they don’t understand English.
7. Make sure the golfer has everything he needs before playing.

2. Check that Golfer has all his equipment.3. Make sure golfer’s clubs are clean4. Show him where driving range is if visitor
5. Make sure golfer is ready for tee off time. 6. Check before round if golfer needs help with

7. Make sure the golfer knows your name before his first shot.
Caddy ProcedureTee Shot
1. Inform Golfer of stroke, distance to hole.
2. Advise on correct line for drive
3. Advise on distance to bunkers, hazards.
4. Recommend club if asked for.
5. Remember to think about wind.
6. Inform golfer if distances to the front/centre.
7. Repair divot if necessary.
Caddy ProcedureApproach Shot
1. Inform Golfer of distance front of green and pin. (Before he asks)
2. Advise on club selection if asked.
3. Tell the golfer about hazards if applicable.
4. Consider wind
5. For better golfers: Where to pitch ball on green.
6. Repair Divot
7. Clean Club
Caddy ProcedurePutts1. Make sure you have the correct line and speed of putt. 2. Ask the golfer if he needs help with the line or speed.
3. If he says yes, speak clearly so the golfer can understand.
4. Think about his previous putts – is he leaving it short or blasting it by. (Advise accordingly)
5. Clear the green of any leaves/sticks between ball and hole.
6. Make sure ball is clean.
7. Encourage your golfer. 8. Tell VISITORS where next tee is.
Caddy ProcedurePost Round
1. Congratulate golfer if they played well.
2. If visitor, show them to the 19th hole.
3. Offer to take clubs to the car.
4. Make sure clubs are clean,
5. Find out when the golfer will be playing again.
6. DO NOT ASK for a tip – if you have done well you will get what you deserve.
7. Remember the golfers name for next time.
