Established in 2009, by Shree G. N. Patel Education &Charitable Trust, Darshan Institute of
Engineering & Technology (DIET) is a leading institute offering undergraduate, graduate and
post graduate programs in engineering. The Institute is affiliated to the Gujarat
Technological University and approved by the AICTE, New Delhi.
DIET is managed by technical experienced & well qualified management team, under
leadership of Prof. R. G. Dhamsaniya. From its inception, the college has grown steadily and
is imparting quality technical education. The Institute has well experienced, highly qualified
and dedicated faculty for committed education. DIET is Located in peaceful and sylvan
surroundings, about 19 km from Rajkot, Gujarat, India.
About Department of Mechanical Engineering

About STTP
Design, Manufacturing, and Product Development is the complete set of activities needed to
bring new technologies and services to the marketplace. This training is designed to provide
practical tools necessary to transform the product ideas of Entrepreneurs into a marketable
and commercially viable product.
Product designers and engineers are required to have complete knowledge of developing a
product design virtually. CREO is a complete suite of concept design, modeling, simulation
and analysis software from PTC. The programme objective is to provide hands on experience
in modeling, finite element analysis and part programming using CREO software. The course
shall be useful to Mechanical, Production and Allied engineering branches.
6 STTP on CAD using Creo and CNC Programming
Why Creo?
Creo runs on Microsoft Windows and provides apps for 3D CAD parametric feature solid
modeling, 3D direct modeling, 2D orthographic views, Finite Element Analysis and
simulation, schematic design, technical illustrations, and viewing and visualization.
PTC Creo 2.0 makes it possible to use the advantages of both methods, parametric and
direct modelling paradigms without being subject to their respective limitations. Late stage
design changes are unpredictable and using flexible modelling is the trump card as this
allows us to maintain the design intent within model and hence the intelligence of the
models is not lost and the parametric process is continuous and consistent. The result in
"normal" everyday design is a boost to innovation by adding more variants, i.e. more
possibilities can be evaluated quickly and easily.
