PROGRAM:
'Under the Spell of Succulents' PRESENTER: Jeff Moore
Jeff has been a succulent enthusiast for over 30 years, and has owned and operated his nursery, Solana Succulents, for over 23 years. He has gained some notoriety for his 'undersea' succulent gardens, and lately for his book. Jeff is married, with two sons at Cal Poly SLO. This is Jeff’s first visit to our club, let’s give him a warm welcome! Jeffwillbebringinganiceselectionofsucculentsforpurchase.
Affiliated with the Cactus & Succulent Society of America Vol. 34, no. 3
Jeff’s talk follows his PowerPoint presentation, which follows his book, which is about how we engage with succulents -growers, collectors, landscaping, containers, bonsai, crests/variegates, etc.… The broad genera are shown as well, with images of plants grown in Southern California. Jeff will also talk a bit about how the book came to be, and the process it took to get it out there. He will also offer a preview of his next book on aloes and agaves, hopefully available by June of this year.
