Electrical Stress ControlMastic

Formulated to provide enhanced tensilestrength, tack and surface appearance, themastic is highly resistant to impregnatingcompounds such as M.I.N.D and Rosin Oilwhich are commonly used in paperinsulated cables. It contains a highmolecular weight plasticiser which is nonextractable and therefore gives excellentcompatibility with polymeric insulatedcables.

ApplicationsUsed to control electrical stresses at the endof the outer screen in joints and terminationsfor polymeric cables.

Used to seal and control the stresses at thecrutch of 3 core paper insulated cables injoints.

Can also be used to control stresses atother locations in joints and terminationsand to fill voids and gaps.

A pliable self amalgamating tape for electrical stresscontrol, void and gap filling for MV power cable accessoryapplications. High permittivity and low loss tangent givesthe mastic excellent stress controlling properties.
