1.) What Is the most economical way to use our cable and hose carrier systems?

To maximize effi ciency, fasten the chain’s non-moving fi xed end at the center of the total travel – see diagram below for a horizontally mounted system. Mounted this way, the chain can properly extend and retract. The basic formula needed to calculate the required length of chain (we call this LK) is seen below.

2.) When there is more than one product option that works, is there a way to help me make the best selection?

KabelSchlepp has developed a unique and effective system that measures the Economic Value Added (EVA) within our vast range of products. This shows the customer how a particular product measures up relative to its applicability to machinery by weighing the products’ range of features, performance capabili-ties and price, enabling the customer to better weigh possible KabelSchlepp product options.

3.) Once I have selected a product and calculated the length, how do I determine the part number?

Part numbers are easily and intuitively formulated using fundamental features of the selected product such as pitch (t), inner width (Bi), bend radius (KR), carrier length, etc. Each key to develop a part number is clearly written in each product section of our catalog and in our www web-catalog sections – two examples are shown below.
