Configuration: Standard 42U Cabinet 50 Cabinets 2 1U 48 Port 10 GigE Switch 100 Switches 1 1U 48 port GigE Mgmt. Switch 50 Switches 39 1U Servers Per Cabinet 1950 1U Servers

In this configuration we have 9 ports on all the switches not connected. 27 Ports not connected in each cabinet. 1350 ports unused on 50 cabinets. Your paying for an extra 28 switches because of underutilization.

Lets say the price per switch is $5k-$10K.That means you are spending $140K - $280k too much because of dated cabinet designs that don’t allow for better switch utilization. Don’t let someone tell you that you can have perfect utilization. I have designed a 51U cabinet which has perfect utilization and is only81.5” tall.

In my 51U cabinet which is 81.5” tall you achieve perfect switch port utilization. No more wasting money on switches because of dated cabinet designs. The benefits in server densities are astounding. What stopping you from calling me and achieving data center densities your competition can’t touch ?

You now have 450 more servers in the same space which will win you bids that your competition can’t touch. Not only that you have saved them from purchasing 11.5 more cabinets they would have to purchase to achieve the same cabinet density. PDU’s, Yes, them too..

Additionally, the cabinet solution requires no slides in the cabinet. Typically a $1,000 to $2,000 additional savings per cabinet.

For a 42U cabinet install, it will cost you 92 ft^2 of extra white space, plus the HVAC / Infrastructure.

Choosing the right cabinet yields customers a lower TCO.
